For those w/ a large Bridal Party....

Don't you hate it when people say 'why so big'. My mom even said why don't you just have everyone stand up there w/you!

We are having a large wedding (we didn't want to but the FH family is so huge, we had no choice and eloping was not an option). So we decided to have a large bridal party to make it more personal and intimate for those we picked. It's our way of having them more involved in our day.

We have:
9 Bridesmaids (including MOH)
7 Groomsmen (including BH)
2 Jr. bridesmaids
2 jr. groomsmen

Do you think that's a lot of people? We are inviting 280 to our wedding and expecting 220?

I don't think its too big at all. You can have as many people you feel should be standing by your side on your wedding day.

I have 11 Bridesmaids (including MOH)
8 Groomsmen (including Best Man)
2 Flowergirls
1 Ring Bearer

I wouldn't want my wedding party any other way. We have 260 people coming. Its your wedding - you do what you want and enjoy it!!!

Having a large bridal party is ok if u are taking pics before the ceremony. If u are taking all of your pics during the CH then u might want to rethink a large bridal party.

Thank god we are doing pictures before!

I just can't imagine any of them not up there...so I need to just be confident w/my choice!

We are having a small wedding and reception(120 people) everyone says such a large BP

That's 15!! I get nervous every time I think about how many it is. My mother says she likes bigger bridal parties and encouraged me so I went with it. Who cares what people think, right?

when I tell people they can't belive it. I really don't think it is that big. I went to a wedding where there was 16 bridesmaids

I had 9 Bridesmaids, 9 Groomsmen, 1 flower girl, 1 ring bearer, 1 best man, and 1 maid of honor. I had the occassional comment as well but I do not regret it one bit. It was so nice to have them be apart of our special day and the pictures came out so nice.

Dont' worry about the comments, enjoy this special time in your life with your fiance and bridal party.
