For those who are having a singer...
What song(s) have you selected for them to sing and at what point of the ceremony will they be singing? Thanks.

We haven't decided the songs yet, but my organist told me that the dsinger sings during the unity candle and response. Not sure what the response is, but there will be singing during it. I checked with my church and we're allowed to have non-denominational music. If you're getting married in a church, ask them if it's ok, it will broaden your selection.
Hi,
Our singer is coordinating everything with the organist. She will be singing the responsorial psalm, 'Ave Maria' when we present bouquet to the Blessed Mother, 'Irish Wedding Song' when gifts are brought up and 'The Wedding Song' for communion. She may sing a song also as guests start arriving.
Can you tell me about presenting a bouquet to the Blessed Mother. I have never heard of that before and am very interested in it.
Another really nice song is 'How Beautiful'. I found it on kazaa.com
It is a religious song and very pretty.
Our singer will be singing Grow Old Along With Me.
Presenting a bouquet to the Blessed Mother is a very nice thing to do. It comes after you say your vows, right around the time of the Unity Candle. After you light the candle, you can walk over to the Blessed Mother, say a short prayer and go back to the alter. I've seen it done many times.
We are having our singer do the 'Ave Maria' for Offertory and 'If I Should Fall Behind' by Bruce Springsteen for the Unity Candle. My children's choir will be singing all other mass parts and we are not having the organ play at all.
We've been to several weddings where they presented bouquet to Blessed Mother and we always knew we wanted to do it too. We are having roses made up for this.
