For those who are / or thinking of registering at Foruntoff

I returned quite a few things over the weekend that I got doubles....OMG WHAT A HORROR I brought something back that was clearly on my registry and they told me they do not carry the item. I walked around and found the item being sold there., we went back and still had a problem
The whole return process SUc KS!

I cannot tell you how Lovely Bed bath and beyond is with their returns, no questions asked!

My mom used to work in Fortunoff's corporate offices and I heard nothing but bad things. It was a big reason why I refuse to register there.

OH NO i just registered at Fortunoff and the whole time we were there fh was complaining about the store lol and even days after he is still complaining, i won't even tell him about this

OH YEAH BBB is AMAZING with their return policy

I had a similar problem at Forunoff with a return. They REFUSED to take it back until i showed them the item was really being sold there. I was originally going to register there but now im having second thoughts.

oh nooooo! i am registered there- that's ridiculous that you had to show them that it was sold there!

i knew i didn't like that store! people tell me i'm crazy for not wanting to register there. but see, good old BBB is the way to go!

I have heard this about Fortunoff a lot, that is why I chose not to register there. Sorry for your inconvenience

i know, my sister is like you HAVE to register there just b/c all three of them did but it's not even that convenient for anyone except LI people and we have a lot of people in the city in the bronx. so i figured bbb was a good bet. But i'm going to look at fortunoff's just in case.

Dont get me wrong I love their stuff but to return they are idiots DEFINATLEY STAY AWAY FROM THE WOODBRIDGE LOCATION!

bloomingdales is great with everything, IMO. I never have a problem returning stuff there.

I just exchanged an item from my registry from my engagement party.,.. they tried to tell me that it wasnt on there...i had a copy of my original registry and it was on there..so they had to honor it.

I use to work at fortunoff years ago, so i know that they have amazing stuff- thats why I registered there.

BBB seems so commerical and well..less nice, in my opinion.. i'm planning on registering at bloomingdales as well.

P.S. Some items were discontinued and I was not even informed. NOw I have my entire bedroom set minus the sham thats i cannot get.

bloomingdales is great with everything, IMO. I never have a problem returning stuff there.

They seem to have the same stuff thats why i asked. I might regsiter there instead of fortunoff...

I agree that it's only convenient to LI folks...most of my family and FH's family lives in Queens, a few live in Jersey and FH's parents live in the Bronx, and I don't want to register at Fortunoff because of the inconvenience. I do plan to register at Macy's and BBB.
