Do they really charge outside of manhattan? How much? Does anyone know what claudia charges for hair? Is the makeup trial apart of the cost for the day of?

well im not saying theyre better than anybody bc everyone has different taste, for me personally its what i liked best...but the only thing is remember that compared to what others around them charge its alot less so they dont see it as charging alot and trying to rip people off, they CAN charge ALOT more considering their peers in the beauty industry do so i think they see it as not trying to rip people off and charging as much as other manhattan vendors. I dont even think they realize they charge so much more than LI vendors and dont even think about it, more like they compare their prices to city people who charge $500 to get your make up ONLY done in the salon

I know people who have used J&O and they were okay, but based on the prior comments on this post, I would have to disagree that the Pedala sisters do inferior, when based on the photos they do an amazing job.
I dont think anyone on here ever said Pedela sisters do INFERIOR work. I was just saying IMO its a complete crock to charge what they charge, I dont care how wonderful you make my eyes and lips. I've seen other LIW vendors who are just as talented and yes, make thier potential JUST as beautiful.
I mean you could say that about any vendor. Some are great and charge a ridiculous amount b/c they know they can get away with it /b people will pay......and some are great and charge a more reasonable amount.
The entire wedding industry in itself is a joke...prices are so inflated!!! 'Wedding hair' 'Wedding makeup' is just a term to charge a woman a hell of a lot more!!
If they are booked every weekend, then they are not charging too much. They are amazing - see my before and after in album - trial #1.

if they are booked every weekend, it means theres at least 3 girls a week somewhere out there in this world willing to pay 1000 dollars for hair and makeup, it doesnt mean they are not charging to too much.

i agree... if they are booked every weekend for $1000 then there's clearly a market for their services so they aren't charging 'too much' ... however, the idea of spending $1000 to me is 'too much'
I'm hoping I can find people I like for a lot less...

WHOAAA what did I miss last night, lol. Im butting in here, but with my pimples and blemishes on my face and redness etc etc etc, I thought my face wont look flawless on my day. Its something about airbrush and the makeup they use that made my face superb. I was going to schedule 2 trials but after I saw mine with the Pedala girls, I was like this is what I want to look like on my day, its perfect. When I showed this pic to my fam, they were shocked and cracking up at my before pic, lol. I dont want to say that I dont care about money but for hair and makeup for my day, I dont care, its worth it.

for the city its not too much lol...honestly i dont even think they know they are charging alot. My mother works in that industry, and she knows all those ppl and those in top salons and all that and when i told her she asked me if they were good since it was so inexpensive, all of them wondered that, they were like $350 and they come to you? uhmmmm have you seen their work yet? to me it was funny but i was like YES they are great. Maureen and claudia are not around the LI vendors, they dont have association with LI prices but they do know those in manhattan and those that do the same type of work as they do charge more than double their prices, so to them they think they're actually being reasonable. That is the point i am trying to state, i understand yes it can be alot but honestly for us it might be alot but lets be serious, for a rich girl in the city living on park avenue $350 for make up is VERY cheap. My mom works in the city and her prices will be more, does she do it to charge more or rip ppl off, no not at all my mom is the complete opposite but all she knows is city prices, its the environment she knows
and heres the funny thing alot of ppl don't realize...most li vendors require a 3-4 person minimum meaning they expect you to pay at least $400-500 for their service, so in the end they expect the same money to come to you...pedala sisters have no minimum
but what it comes down to is if you dont want to spend that much then you don't have to and like it was said there are many other talanted people so why does it matter
