I used my laser printer at home. An inkjet paper will also work if you're not printing on metalic paper.

Re: For those who did DIY invitaitons
I just started working on mine this last week. My intention was to do it all at home, on my computer & hand written too. So far this has been my 'adjustments'. 1. The vellum paper that came with the cards (pre-cut) DO NOT like to feed into my printer - all it did was jam it over & over. So, I bought 8x11 vellum paper & will cut it to size. I was able to print 2 invites per page. I printed 5 at a time because I had to lay them out to dry & not smudge. Some still fed wrong, some still got jammed, but over all I was able to get it done - & my computer like to freeze up too....which means shut down! ARG 2. My return envelopes....only a few got jammed & are no good.... I still have the rest to do: mailing envelopes & reply cards.... I bought monogram stickers & return address labels for the mailing envelopes....I'm not sure if I'll use them, but....just in case I loose it

Re: For those who did DIY invitaitons
We did them for our engagement party- They were pretty simple once we got the settings on the printer right. I used my Dad's laser printer.

We also did ours for our engagement party. They were very easy, but it was a simple one piece invitation. An invitation to a wedding is a little more elaborate.
