For those who dye their hair...

How long before the wedding do you plan to dye your hair?

I don't want to have roots, but also don't want to wait too long, as the color is a little dark at first.

Opinions, please? TIA.

I highlight it, not dye it, but I'm getting it done 8 days before the wedding. I'm getting a haircut then too (I cannot wait for that, my hair is so dead on the bottom right now!)

I'm doing it 2 weeks before. My hair gets very dark and needs at least a good week of washing before its the right color!

I get highlights too and my hairdresser said 2 weeks before so I am getting a trim and highlights exactly 2 weeks before

I get my hair highlighted and I'll probably have it done about a week before the wedding.

I dye my hair because I have lots of grays, so I was thinking 2 weeks before, I am concerned because my hairdresser usually goes away for the month of August, so if she's not here, I don't know who will color my hair!

I spoke with my hairdresser. He said 1 week before is fine.

I am 75% gray... yeah, been that way since my 20's. After ten days you can start to see small roots so 1 week before the wedding.

Cream colorant, most of the time spent is sitting with it on my roots.

I have some grays to cover too (and it seems like more and more every day). My sister colors it for me, so I'll ask her to do it 1 week before and I'll have a cut 2 weeks before.
