For those who gave/are giving wine bottle favors...

For those who gave/are giving wine bottle favors...

Did you place them on the tables or did you have them all lined up on a separate table where people could grab them at the end of the night? I am undecided b/c I feel as if I put them on the tables it might be too crowded but then again if I put them on single 'favor table' people might not take them. Any suggestions? Thanks!

also wanted to add --when i worked in a catering hall---the wine favors were always put on the table!!

I did full size bottles and one per couple and put them on the tables.

Julybride, I am so glad to see this question. We are giving half-bottles of champagne wrapped in white sheer fabric with a wired edge, and the bottle stopper tucked in the ribbon. They will really look beautiful but we are afraid they will be too busy on the table and take away from the centerpieces. We are also worried if couples would realize not to take two.

Have you thought of putting them in very large white baskets decorated with ribbon and tuille and placed on tables somewhere off to the side? Unfortunately, 120 bottles would be way too many for us to do that. That was my daughter's original plan.
I am anxious to hear what ideas you get and what you decide.

P.S. Did you get a good deal on the wine? We are still checking out places.

We got a great deal on the wine - it's from Duckwalk in Southampton. They give 25% off wedding orders. FM me you want more info.

I did mini bottles of korbel in addition to the heart chrome wine stoppers. We put everything on the table. We had tables of 10 and it did not look crowded AT ALL!!

When you say mini bottles, what size is that? There is the 375 mL which is about a pint ($7. size), and then they have the real little ones that cost about $2. each. Did you have any problem with people taking one each instead of one per couple. I've heard that happen with some favors.

Because I got the bottles so cheap, I did one per person (I was going to do one large bottle per couple but two mini bottles were cheaper)...the wine stopper was one per couple
