did you find that most of your items were purchased or that you had a lot of items not purchased?

Re: For those who had their shower already..
well let me say that i registered for ALOT of things hahaha. Just my crate and barrel registry was 6 pages and i think about 140 items and thats JUST 1 registry and i registered at 3 places. We put ALOT of things to give ourselves the option of getting things at 10% off after the wedding. But we did get a real decent amount of our things especially considering how many things i did register for

wow.. thats a lot but thats a good idea too because you get a discount
did you end up getting stuff that you didnt need as much as other things y doing it that though? my concern with doing something like that is that i would get some things i would like or would be cool to have but not necessarily need right away and id be stuck buying all the things i need myself

I did not have my shower yet but we started small. Only BB&B and have 200+ items altogether. 75 people invited to the shower, 300 invited to the wedding. We are going to add stuff if we see it getting low...but for now we put the MUST HAVES first!

YES i do have to say that there were some things I REALLY wanted and didnt get and other things that i didnt need as much lol but regardless i still LOVE everything we got, all very useful and helpful. See i am the opposite, theres alot of things that arent necessary but are cool that i wanted, more unique items and i received alot of necessary things. I figured with alot of those other things, i'd put off buying it although i really want them to get the MUST have things first so this way i'd have it now. But this is my way of thinking which is twisted sometimes. All in all i cant complain at all, i got so many things that i needed, even wanted but dont necessarily need, and REALLY REALLY helped out alot.

I haven't had my shower yet, but am an avid stalker and see that most of my stuff is gone! My big stuff is all bought and there is some small stuff left for the stragglers LOL

Re: For those who had their shower already..
I registered at Fortunoff and Pampered Chef and we pretty much got everything from Fortunoff and the necessary items at Pampered Chef. We did receive quite a few envelopes with the gift that keeps on giving. (Some family members mentioned it was to help with BIG ticket items or to get anything else we needed since we were moving in the same weekend of the shower.)

Re: For those who had their shower already..
we registered early, for our e-party, because people kept asking. We got most of the things from our registries (which were a lot, we had 3!) although we did buy some of the items ourselves earlier, either because they were being discontinued or because we needed them and had them scanned onto our registry for convenience with returns.
we actually had a hard time thinking of enough things to add now for showers and the wedding, since we're thinking OOT guests are going to want to give wrapped gifts.
it really depends on your guests though. we found that people loved buying our china, glassware, and kitchen appliances. also our items from crate & barrel and BBB flew off the registry much faster than our items from macys.

most things were purchased - but not all. I had more expensive items left. But dishes all got purchased, stuff you use daily got purchased not specialty items such as my stand mixer.
