For those who have been to Disney World

I have 2 day park passes already. I want to purchase Fast Pass.

Can I purchase Fast Pass alone? How much?

I thought the fast pass you get for each individual ride at no cost when you get there....I may be wrong....maybe i am thinking of something different.

I've been there TONS of times, but I don't know about the FastPass (duh). Did you go on Disneyworld.com? They have all the information there! When r u going?!

You don't buy it, you get it in the parks. You put your park ticket in this little machine, and a little pass comes out, telling you to come back at a certain time. The thing is, you can only have one fast pass at a time, so if you're in MGM, you can wait in line for the Rockin Roller Coaster, and have a fast pass for the tower of terror, or vice versa, you just can't have them for both. Also, not every ride has them, only the most popular ones, and sometimes, they run out of them early in the day, especially at test track in Epcot.

If I remember correctly Fast Pass can only be gotten in the park. You go up to the ride scan you park pass and it spits out your FP ticket with next ride time on it.
But it's been over 2 years since I went.

You can only get Fast Pass at the parks, and it's free.

Let's say you get to Space Mountain, and the line is long. You go to the Fast Pass machine, put in your park pass, and it gives you a ticket that tells you what time to come back. At that time, you bypass the line and walk on.

Sometimes it's a short wait, but sometimes it's LONG. Patrick and my dad waited 5 hours for Test Track in Epcot.

Someday Bride - now I remember. You're right! I also remember that sometimes they're not really worth it, right? I remember seeing a short line for the FastPass itself!

IMO, test track is not worth more than a 20 minute wait, it's totally over rated.

You're right... sometimes it's not worth it at all! The wait in line is shorter than the time Fast Pass gives you!

Um...well, I think the fast passes are really worth it, for most attractions. There might be a little line, but it's far shorter than the line that you'd be waiting in without one. Some things, you don't need a fast pass for though, like the Muppets show, or the Who wants to be a Millionaire show, both in MGM.
ETA: It also depends on the time of day that you go, most times in the morning, the lines are really short, and you don't really need a fast pass.

It always amazed me at the end of the night how people were magically healed by the spirit of Walt Disney. Because as we were leaving the park, there were all these empty wheel chairs in the entrance way after fireworks.

We had Fast Pass for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and it was worth it because we got to sit in the Fastest Finger seats.

ONLY FOR THE WEEKEND?! That's wonderful!! I wish I was ONLY going to my favorite place in the world for the weekend! Have a great time and have a Mickey ice cream pop and go on the water slides for me (please)!

lucky!! I love disney world. Have a great time--definetely look into the fast pass-it's not always the best way to go-depends on the park and the ride
