For those who have done their albums

It seems that every time I get my layout from Duet, I see new things I want to change before it's finalized. Anyone else feel the same way?

It took 3 tries for me to get it the way I really wanted it- I probably could have 'found ' more things, but I really wanted it done...

It wasn't anything they were doing 'wrong' just changes I wanted

I made changes 3 times before I gave it the 'ok' to be printed. Change it as many times as you want cause you don't want to regret anything once it is done

Hi Heather...

Don't feel bad - we are revising too. We are just emailing back our 1st go round of revisions now...I spoke to them though and they act like I should barely have any. Do any of your photogs get at all annoyed that you want to make so many revisions?

Mine are mostly moving things around...a few are touch ups on the photos.

I also want to be crazy and ask if I can see and approve the prints before they are bound into the book. I don't trust just seeing them on my monitor to be ok with them. Hope they will let me do that.

We revised it once and then sent it to get printed. I don't like double guesing myself - makes me crazy.

I'm already on round 3, and round 1 I changed EVERY page....but I figure I paid to have an album I love...just wondered if I was a total P in the A or if it was the norm!

I went this past weekend to 'proof' mine before print. I am so glad I did. There were some changes that needed to be made. I am going back in 2 weeks & will proof it again. If it is not 100% to my liking, I will change it again.

I think you have to make as many changes as you can prior because you don't want to regret settling for something, especially your album!

Did you design the layout yourself though?

I didn't and I think may ladies with digital layouts don't either. You basically just pick all the proofs you want in your album - give your photog the list and then they design the layout. That's why I think so many of us have changes...so we're not really second guessing ourselves since we didn't do the layout.

I know they're going to think I'm a p in the a too but oh well....I paid a lot of money for it. I want it to be to our liking!

LOL - I'm working on it!
I'm working on both my wedding review and honeymoon review at the same time. I should just do 1 at a time so I can get them both done with quicker. Wedding review is almost done...HM is half done.
