Hi, ladies. I am my FSIL's MOH (yes, a lot of weddings going on in the next year, lol). Her shower is next month. I was wondering if anyone had a list of things I need to do for the shower. Kind of like a list for a wedding, but for a shower instead? Or if you've been a MOH, maybe you can help me out with a 'to do' list. So far, I've chosen the games, the decor, and the favors. My mom is taking care of the food. What else needs to be done?

Showers are easy. You have just about everything covered. Just make sure to take a lot of pictures for her, bring a pad and pen to write down the gifts, and maybe an extra few garbage bags for the wrapping paper. Oh, yeah and materials for making her hat (or boquet) out of the bows.

Well, the shower is at my aunt's house so I think she has extra garbage bags and plates for the hat ;) Thanks so much. I have been in weddings before but I have never had to plan a shower. The MOH and MOB usually did most of the planning. Ijust want to make sure I covered everything.

other than invitations it is all pretty much covered. what is a nice thing to do is buy the thank you cards for the bride so that she doesn't have to worry about going out to get them and give her the list with everyone's addresses on them. I did that for my MOH and she just did that for me! Very helpful.

Thanks. Yea, I was planning on making a list of the guest's name, address, and a space for the gift that the person gave them.

you have it all pretty much covered, the only things I didnt think I saw were prizes for the games.
you may want to make or rent a wishing well as well.

We are not doing a wishing well. There are only going to be 17 guests (she has family on the other side of the country) so it would be silly to have one...and I already got the prizes for the games like 6 weeks ago ;)

Sounds like you are on top of everything If you have time you could get the bride to be a corsage. I did that the couple of times I was MOH and the brides seemed to like getting the corsage.
