For those who have moved...

As many of you know I am moving to MI around the 22nd. I have been calling various movers but not sure who to use. Do any of you have any recommendations for me?

For a cross country move...I would look into the big names...like North American or Allied...a lot of times they make multiple stops and cna give you a better price...and you know that they are reliable...

for us...we did it all by ourselves...rented a truck from budget...one way...

I think it was Mayflower that we used. The big names will come and give you an estimate and the rates are regulated by interstate commerce laws so the estimates we got when we moved from Boston to NY were very close. We liked one rep a bit better than the other, and their info pack was more reassuring (the branch had a long history with a lot of awards) so we chose them. Unfortunately since they are up in MA / NH the specific company won't be of much help to you here.

well I have some united and mayflower people coming - but many companies either claim they don't go to MI OR you have to have a minimum of 10,000 pounds for them to look at you - so we shall see how they are - was hoping that some people here used a company they could recommend
