I am soooo nervous about leaving the nest lol...i have never left before , i didnt even go away to college...so this is gonna be a HUGE step for me

I really thought it was me...my fh tells me to 'grow up' - he's been living on his own for the past 10yrs!!!!

I NEVER left either - not even for college too....

i'm moving into the apartment upstairs for a couple of years until we can save enough for a house so i'm a little more at ease about that but I'm still nervous about living with FH and living on our own

just from the perspective of someone who has been on own for a while:

i left for college and could not wait till i got there and cried (that lasted for a day or so) came home to go to grad school and could not wait to get out again and then did. once i did I was at my parents hosue every wknd visiting, stopping by etc.

even now I go to LI to see my mom and FH and i spend wkdn once per month.

it's exciting to be out on your own but in some way you never leave and my mom still calls me 10x per day lol

i am sooo nervous. i am so spoiled at home. i want to leave badly but i'll be running an entire household. i look at my mom and i say...'will i be able to do all of this so smoothly?'

I am terrified!!!! I never went away to college. Idon't go away on vacation for more then a week before I get homesick! I don't know what I am going to do! FH of course thinks I am a baby and need to grow up but this is a big step for me! I'm gonna be a mess nect spring when we finally move out. My mom keeps joking that I'm gonna bring my lil sis with me! We are so close I don't know what I'm gonna do when I leave!

I have never been on my own. I am not really nervous b/c my living situation has changed in the last year that it kind of prepared me for being on my own. Plus, I am moving only 5 minutes away from my Parents. We are living in FH's house that is in the same town as mine. So, I will still see my Dad everyday and my dogs.

awh you guys are too cute. It will take time to adjust, but it is all exciting at the same time. When I moved in with FH, I was actually living on my own, I had to take baby steps, it was hard giving up my own apt., my own space and independence, but it was so worth it, I love living with FH and playing house, it's such a great feeling. Just take baby steps and don't worry it'll be so much fun. There is an adjustment period but it is kind of fun as you discover things about FH you didn't know. Don't worry, it's going to feel so amazing, being on your own with FH. Playing house, cooking dinner together. I still talk to my mom almost everyday. I call her anytime I make a new of recipe hers, just to make sure I'm doing it right.

Don't worry, you're going to love it!!! It's all good things ahead.

I am not nervous, but I am sad b/c I am very attached to my parents and I know we will miss each other. At the same time I am so happy to be marrying FH.

Although I can't wait until FH and I move in together, a part of me is really going to miss my parents house. I already know that on my wedding day I will be a mess knowing that I just spent the last night in my bed...alone.... lol.
But, for now I am more excited about starting a new chapter in my life.

yes, i'm so nervous. I don't want to move to far away from my parents. I know it's going to be a huge ajustment that will take a lot of time, but FH says he'll get me a dog as soon as we move in together so that's a plus, since i was never able to have one. Basically he's bribing me.

dont be nervous ladies - i didnt go away to college and always thought i would live at home until i got married - then my parents decided they were moving to florida when i was 19 - i didnt want to leave FH - we had been dating about a year at that point and so we started talking about the possibility of getting an apartment together - 2 weeks before my 20th birthday we moved into our first apartment together and my parents moved away. it was a hectic time for me and FH but we did fine. its true that you find out soooo much more about someone when you live with them but i am sure you will LOVE it. we have accomplished so much in the last 3 years its amazing and we have been and are doing it all on our own - there is no feeling like it

I was nervous at first moving out, but thats because FH worked till 11 at night and didnt get home till 12-1....so i was scared being a lone in the apartment by myself w/my daughter..sounds silly lol but i was used to my parents and brothers always being with me....but you get used to it! and i love living on my own, miss my family sometimes, but i can always visit
