For those who used In and Out Travel's Honeymoon registry...

Is it honeymoonwishes.com?

the vendor page says that the registry is free - no commissions, no fees... we get 100% of what our guests pay. However, when I click to 'start a honeymoon registry' on the In and Out Travel homepage, it brings me to another website, honeymoonwishes.com, which - under their FAQ page - says they have a 7% charge. ???

Which is it? Does In and Out have their own registry besides the honeymoonwishes one that's completely free? I'm confused...

You're right - it's honeymoonwishes.com - and yes, there is a fee, a fee where whoever is buying something from the registry gets charged, and then a fee (7%) they take after that too, when they give it to you. They have to make their money somehow!

I don't know if other HM registries are like this, but being that In & Out only offerred this one...I was stuck w/it.

thank you! I just spoke to Dave, and he said when you sign up for honeymoonwishes.com as an In and Out client, they notify honeymoonwishes to only take a 3-4% commission (that goes to honeymoonwishes for all the legwork of running the registry), but In and Out doesn't take any $$, which is where we save $$ vs. using another registry. I'm already registered at another one, but I'm going to do this one instead now (I'm assuming I don't have to 'cancel' the other one... I just won't tell people about that one).

Also, In and Out is sending me the registry information cards for the Bridal Shower invitations. . They've been so great to us so far! (highly recommend In and Out!).

Did you have any luck with people contributing to your registry so far?

We had great success w/the HM Registry - we elected for cash contributions, and got about $1600...best decision we ever made.

WOW! That's awesome! sign me up!

I hope our guests consider doing this... we don't need another toaster!

Did they do anything cute like wrap something 'representing' what they gave you... like a model airplane for plane tix or an eye pillow to represent a massage - or something like that?

They're a great travel agency... a vendor on here. They have a link to a honeymoon registry, which is very convenient! FM me if you have more questions.
