Did your quests actually use them? I'm considering this as an option, but don't want to invest in the camera, film, etc. if no one will use it!

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
I would ask someone to 'man' the table with the polaroid guestbook. That person can take the pics of the guests and direct them to sign on a page which he/she will then glue the picture to.
This way people KNOW about it, know how it's done, and it actually gets used.

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
I did a little bit of something different - I took pictures of DH and I growing up and then together and filled a scrapbook with them.
Our families and friends signed around the pages, where they were with us, writing comments and recollecting family stories, etc

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
we used one and everyone loved it!!!! I actually only got 75 pics (film) 'cause my mom swore no one would use it, but by the end of the night people were asking for more film!(and plus, there were some people that took extra pics & kept them for themselves!!!(rude i know) ANYWAYS, I actually didn't have anyone man the table, but i had the table set up in the actual reception room.....i had it near the DJ with a little poem in a frame....if u could make one urself or get a thicker album i would....we ordered the actual poloroid book & now i wish it had more photo slots! all the extra pics that didn't fit are just shoved in the back of the book lol....but regardless - everyone loved it! and it's so fun to look back on

Thats probably a better idea though I might be afraid somone might walk off with it I would think guests are trustworthy otherwise they wouldn't be invited, but sometimes you just don't know (especially if somone comes that you don't know well). I don't have a dock so prob wouldn't be an option.
For anyone that did this, where did you get the poloroid camera?

Thanks sooo much, I didn't think of that.
It's sad but I didn't even think they still SOLD polaroid. I haven't seen them since sometime in the 80's I think.

I plan to do a fun scrapbook style guestbook but people can sign with a polaroid sticker....you know, those fun little cameras? I think it will be cute because they can sign and put a tiny picture!

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
here's another idea. why don't you have someone in charge of the camera and have it passed from one table to another so everybody knows they can use it. usually when the camera gets passed, people kinda figure out on their own what it's for. and so it doesn't get lost or stuck on a table, have the responsible person keep it going from table to table.

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
I plan to do it at my wedding and I did it for my MOH's shower and wedding but I was manning the book, camera and table. At my wedding my DOC will take care of it. I think you need someone who knows what it's all about to take care of it-or fill in the first one with you and FH and write something on the first page to give your guests an example. I ordered my books, camera and film through Adesso Albums.com and if you call them they will give a discount for volume order.
