My friend did this for her wedding in April and it was great! We did a group shot (all the girls) and a couple shot (me & FH) so you may want to purchase some extra film. Some people did some funny faces.....it captured personality. It was a great idea!

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
I love these guest books! they are so cool. we were going to do them, but got a really nice book as a gift, so we are using that.
but definately go for it. i agree with having someone assist in the process though.

if u dont mind spending the extra cash, u could always do nyc photobooth! my cousin used them...they actually come and set up a photobooth in your cocktail hour it was adorable, and the guy that runs it puts all the photo strips into a scrap book.....but i dont think it's cheap! which is why i went with the poloroid book lol

my cousin used it... just make sure you have at least two cameras (if you have a big party) and someone who takes care of taking the pictures.
we're actually going to use one for the wedding and instead of using the album, i'm making a scrapbook.

I did it for my eparty...it was great! But you DEF need someone to take pics and bring the book around, otherwise you'll have nothing...I got the book on ebay

Re: for those who used polaroid guest books...
i was wondering how everyone would know what to do with the camera/book, or know that it was even there! my friend used one at her wedding but had her DOC take the pics during the CH and we passed the book around and signed it during the reception. i'm not planning on having a DOC, so who would i get to be in charge? or do you just have it on a table with directions, like someone suggested?
i would love to be able to do it, just have to figure out how! i don't know if my guests would know what to do! maybe i should put my friend who did it at her wedding in charge of it, since she knows how to do it already!
we are doing that at my friends shower next month. that is probably easier than at the actual reception! guess i'll find out!
