Ok thank you girls for all your recommendations, I called up quite a few places but once I told them I have never been there before they told me I have to wait 3-4 weeks for a consultation, I was giving up hope...BUt thank you Lisa(mizzdimple) for your recommendation she had 1 appointment open tomorrow.
But the shot is called a cortisone shot, and it is covered by your insurance...Some of you asked for this info after i found out the answers

Just as an FYI ladies the cortisone shots are also good for razor bumps. I used to get the shots in the bikini area before I started waxing. Not sure if any one has this problem but it really does work wonders.

OH NO its ok thank you...i know exactly where it is now. Its the way i take home everyday, just take the path 1 stop to world trade center...FROM There i usually take a bunch of other trains after hahaha but its also perfect bc i'll go home the exact same way i normally would

shots only really work the next day for small zits, if you have cystic acne you have to go a couple days in advance....sometimes it takes a few weeks...before i went on acutane I had a weekly appt at the dermo where i would get about 30 shots in my face and sometimes back and chest...IT WAS BAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!! I guess i'll find out more info tomorrow
That's what my sister will get once in awhile and the shots make it go away within 24 hours. I asked her if she knew if it was cortisone, but she wasn't sure.

Yeah i'll definitely let you know...my friend helen(florezpeeps) said she got a vitamin shot and that completely cleared her up and she never got anything again so im going to ask about that.

I've never heard of vitamin shots, but I have had cortisone shots. I've only had them when I've had cystic acne though, never for small blemishes. And while they definitely relieve the pressure and cause them to shrink much more quickly, just be aware if you are thinking of getting them done before a big event that you may have a small hole and/or scab at the sight of the injection for a day or so, so I'd probably reccomend them a few days before an event. HTH! I've battled acne on and off ever since I reached my twenties, never had one zit when I was in high school so I know how frustrating it can be. I've been on and off several medications, so if anyone has any questions feel free to FM me!

I know whats up with getting it now, i always had such clear skin and never got pimples, now forget about it...but when i went to the gyno back in december she told me a have a hormonal imbalance so think this might cause it

I feel everyone's pain on the whole adult acne rant! It's the worst! I feel like a freak sometimes when my face breaks out bad and it always happens on the third week of my pill. So i went to my regular doc yesterday and she suggested I try Yaz (it was just approved by the FDA to help acne). Originally i was going to come off the completely, thinking maybe i just needed a break from the hormones. But i'll try Yaz for a couple of months and see if that helps a little.
oh, and i hate retin A - i really wished it worked from me but all it does is make my super super dry!

I know what you mean about retin A -I would seriously almost cry after I put it on it burned so badly! Needless to say, I didn't last on that for long. Probably the best topical medication I've ever been on was Duac. I have super sensitive skin and I never had any type of reaction from it. In fact, I was worried at first it was not working bc I was thinking, how come I am not red/peeling/in pain??? But it really worked well, I'd reccomend trying it to anyone!

yeah ive heard Yaz is good for your skin. But talk to your derm and see what he can give you, im just tired of having to do things all the time, i want to have something done and it stays for a long time or its permanent lol

oh my god, that's the sensation I get too when I use all over my face, it feels like it's burning! especially when i have the fan on in my room at night if the fan hits my face, it's agony! so i have only been using it for spot treatment. but even with that i feel like i dab a tiny bit on a pimple and then the next morning I see a dry patch of skin ALL around th pimple! but not like just the outer part of it, i mean a good INCH away from where i put a tiny dab! and then i cant cover it up with makeup as much because it's like that part of my skin then has a harder time soaking in the moisturizer, so my makeup does not glide on and gets all matted looking and crusty. it's awful!
