I just met with the travel agent and I am thinking of going to Maui and Kuai. What are your recommendations? where did you stay? What islands did you go to???? Do you recommend any books of informative material? Thanks for your help!

We are going to Hawaii. It seems that the Hyatts are very popular hotels. We are staying at Hyatts in Kauai and Maui. We are also going to Oahu and The Big Island as well.

Re: For those who went to Hawaii for their HM. . .
We're staying at the Wailea Marriott in Maui & the JW Marriott in Oahu.
Check the honeymoon board on here and also check www.theknot.com for additional information. Also two websites i LOVE are...
Some books to check out are the Revealed books or Frommers Hawaii book.
*I will say this, most people will have mixed reviews about every and any hawaiin island. It all comes down to preference or what you're looking for. Kauia is very quiet, no night life, but beautiful. Maui is also beautiful but has more nightlife. Oahu, people would say they don't like it because it's too city-like, but keep in mind thats only Waikiki and Oahu is a very big island. That's just my opinion!

in maui, i highly recommend you stay in south maui. We stayed at the fairmont and loved it.
I would definitely buy maui revealed. that book was the best!
We also went to Kaui, we stayed at the Hyatt. I wasn't that impressed. It reminded me of being in a cruise, alot of pools and there wasn't much of a beach. Not sure where I would recommend in Kaui. I don't think you will be disappointed with the Hyatt, after staying at the fairmont we were spoiled. The Hyatt was still nice!
Hawaii was amazing!!!!!!! You'll love it.

Re: For those who went to Hawaii for their HM. . .
We went to Oahu for just one night to see Pearl Harbor and stayed at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider. This island was much more crowded and populated then the other islands. After Oahu we went to Maui for 6 nights and stayed at the Four Seasons. It was awesome. I have heard some bad reviews on how snobby the people were and we did not experience this at all. The service was impeccable. After Maui we went to Kaui and stayed at the Hyatt for 5 nights. This place was nice as well but not comparable to the Four Seasons. The service was not as good and it was more crowded. This hotel is huge. It was like a 5 minute walk to the pool from our room.
We bought the Fromers guide to Hawaii and read up on best hotels, sights and restaraunts. Here is a pic of the Four Seasons
