For those whose reception does NOT immediately follow ...

Can you tell me how youre wording your reception card? Might I add we are having an adult only reception. Did you include this on the reception card? HELP!

Hi Kimmy! Yes I am including a reception card but what would the wording say? Cocktails? Dinner and dancing? Adults only reception? Help!

My seperate card states:

Reception

Please join us for dinner, drinks and dancing at
FOX HOLLOW
7725 Jericho Turnpike
Woodbury, New York 11797

Cocktail Hour begins at 7pm

Im hoping that people will understand that when the invite is addressed to Mr and Mrs only, that means NO KIDS!

Dont be surprised that people dont! I have had many guests assume that they were bringing their kids. Our venue just cant accomodate children. Some of our options are ...

Choice 1:
Please join us for an evening of dinner and dancing.
Cocktails to be served at half past six in the evening.

Venue

Choice 2:
Please join us for cocktails at half past six in the evening.
Dinner and dancing to follow.

Venue

Choice 3:
Please join us for an adult only reception.
Cocktails served at half past six in the evening.
Dinner and dancing to follow.

The problem is not EVERYONE needs choice 3! So I may see if I can print a certain number of these. What to do, what to do! I am waiting for my invitation consultant to get back to me lol

I have adult reception on all of mine. I didn't want to have to print different ones and remember who got what

Here's ours:

Our fairytale will continue with a cocktail hour at seven o'clock and an adult reception to follow.

We NEEDED to put 'adult reception' bc I have some family members that would think nothing of bringing their kiddies to the wedding...

I'm hoping that that wording will help deter that, but who knows with my family
