Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
I got married at noon too! See my pics I just posted on the board if you want to. I got up at 7am, but I was already staying where I was getting married, and so were all of my bridal party, so we didn't have any travelling to do.b

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
I thought 7 was fine. I set the alarm for 6:30, so DH and I had time to spend before he went to the guys room to get ready. We had breakfast brought to our rooms too, so we didn't have to worry about that. And, I did my own makeup while my friend/stylist did my hair. All my girls had their hair done, did their own makeup.

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
I am very nervous about this b/c my wedding is called for 11:30 AM and there are 7 of us who need to get done up (me, mom, 5 bridesmaids). Thankfully, my future mother-in-law and 2 future sister-in-laws are getting ready on their own!
If I have to be ready to get things started by 11:30, then I assume that pictures have to start at 9 AM. So. I'd have to be ready to leave the hotel by 8:30 meaning that I probably have to wake up at 6 at the latest. FUN!!!

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
when i spoke to my makeup artist, she told me she leaves about 35 minutes for each girl and about 45 minutes to an hour for the bride. not sure abouthair because i haven't booked that yet. i'm getting married at noon also and my mom is freaking out because she has to travel about a half hour that morning. i'll be staying close to the hall, so i'll be ok!
not sure what time i'll be getting up yet though!

4 BMs, one FG
we are getting hair/makeup done at a salon with two hairdressers & one makeup artist. hopefully it will be quicker that way. plus, my mom's house will be crazy that morning.

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
My ceremony was called for 11:15am and we did pictures before the wedding. I had to be at the CC (only a few miles) at 9:00. I was up around 6:30 (set the alarm for 6, but it never went off, YIKES!!) My hair girl came around 7 and make up at 8. I had a different girl doing the bridal party's (4 of them) hair. The photographer came to my room at around 8:00 and the florist came by with bouquets around 8:30. It was a very hectic and busy morning, but would love to do it all over again. I was a little late to the CC, but it all worked out and the ceremony started on time. BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
My ceremony was at 11. I got up around 5. Actually I never really slept so I was pretty much up all night. I fell asleep around 1, woke up at 2:30. Feel asleep again around 4 and then woke up at 5.

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
We had to be at our hall at 9:30 am for pictures so the hairdresser came to my hotel room at 6am and makeup at 6:30. We were all done by 9am. There were 5 of us for hair and 4 for makeup. Does your makeup artist work with an assistant?

Re: ???? For those with afternoon weddings...
I'm getting married at 11:30 and although I haven't booked my hair/makeup...and probably will do that at my trial with Jen of Fairytales...I'm assuming the earliest we'd have to start is around 5:30/6 and that's for 8 girls with both hair and makeup.
KP...I think your makeup artist is starting you WAY TOO early...
