?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

what band/dj and I won't be a nosy arse and ask you how much but were they expensive or not??

We *sort of* have a band already but the only thing is that we really want good music that we (as in FH and I) listen to.. we don't want the radio bs to be played..

Re: ?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

Im using a band.

Some unsolicited advice - the 'Grandness' of your hall really demands a big band. My personal opinion of course but a DJ in an opera house seems so wrong to me.

I agree with Stef. That hall is huge. A DJ just doesn't fit very well.
I am using Milestone Music

Re: ?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

We are using a DJ - Let Us Entertain You. SonicStef is right. The decor of your hall calls for a band. I just think in your hall, a band looks more elegant.

Re: ?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

Music and food were the two most important things that FI agree will make or break a wedding. We want lots of good food and lots of good music.

I am using a DJ for the simple reason I always have more fun at weddings with a DJ. FI and are similar to you want to hear the music we like (and we have a wide range of tastes). Most bands can't play them or it just isn't the same. I believe my affair will be very elegant. We want our guests to PARTY!

We are using Spin Around Sound. I believe for DJ's they are on the high side. We are paying about $1650 for 5.5 hours.

I think it is really personal preference whether you want a DJ or a band. I totally do not think it takes away from the elegance of you event. ...unless you get a DJ that just doesn't shut up or is too involved in MC'ing the event!

Re: ?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

I'm using D.J's Unlimited in Floral park.

I think it shouldn't matter how big your hall is, if you want a d.j go for it.
Why get a band to impress your guests if you dont want one?
uness you do want it of course.

Re: ?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

We are using a band, It didnt really matter to me band or dj but future finace wanted a band.

We went and saw the band play and we really enjoyed them.

They also sent us a list of songs they play and it suited our tastes. So we are very happy!!

We want a mix of everything plus some Irish music.

The band is Good Clean Fun.

If you want to know what I am paying email me at [email protected]

we got a really good price for a band, I think after comparing with prices i have seen on these boards.

Re: ?? for you alll... What are you using?? Band/Dj? and

i guess it depends just on what kind of thing you like. i heard a couple of good bands at weddings this summer, but we always just wanted a dj, so it didn't matter. go with your gut.

We used a band Full HOuse. They were amazing. We had people coming up to us all night complimenting the band. www.fullhousemusic.com. They have music samples and their song list on there so you can see what they play and how they sound.
