For you girls who've had your showers or made your invite list...

How many people did you invite and how many showed up? I'm worried that I'm going to have the smallest shower ever. I think we're going to max out at 20 people. All of my close friends from college live really far out of state and, though I have lots of people I go out with at work, I don't feel quite close enough with them to invite them all to the shower. I'm sort of wondering if it's even worth it to put my BMs through the hassle of planning a shower for me

i believe something like 44 were invited and 38 came

if it's 20 close friends and family, you shouldn't have to many no shows

I have the opposit problem...I gave my mother a list of 94 women....I figure that at least 70 will come....I think that might be to large for a bridal shower....but I can't think of who else to cut out.

I believe there were about 50 people invited to mine and we had about 39 people attend.

I think there were about 45 invited and about 30-35 who came.... (I have another shower coming up with about 60 invited, expecting probably 40 different people).

I think 40 were invited and 36 came. 3 were my OOT BMs.

I think you should still have one. Sometimes smaller showers are more fun, and are much more persona!

We invited 60 and had about 47ish... all local people- we did not invite OOT.

ETA-- I think you should def have a shower-- who cares how many people are there-- you should have this day-- and you should do something fun that you would not have been able to do if you had a larger shower.

I think maybe 40 - 45 were invited and 32 attended.

I have several OOT family and friends. My mom must have been in touch with many of them because I received gifts from an additional 15 people who weren't at the shower.

that's ok - my FSIL had about 20 people at her shower & almost 200 at the wedding....believe smaller isn't a bad thing. It's about who is close to you - and you might be surprised who shows up from out of state!!

i'm not sure what was on my list, but 7 or 8 people backed out that morning!

I think 37 were invited and 25 showed up.

I'm in a similar situation because I am only having my sister as my MOH and I don't want her to have to pay for a big shower. I would definitely still go ahead with the party because I'm sure everyone on your list would want to go.

my mom invited about 90 and 70 came --many of the ones that did not come were from nj...

i think you should definitely have one --who cares how many people are there?

Yes I definitly agree!!!

I think we invited 60 but due to a death in the family and a few people being sick I only had about 45 or so.

I would invite your friends from work!! If I worked with you and we went out and were friendly I might be a little sad if I was invited to the wedding but werent invited to your bridal shower!

Thanks for all the advice ladies. I really appreciate it. I guess I'm just having that nervous feeling like when you throw a party at your house and you're worried that only 4 people will show up

My MOH is awesome and she just booked Lady Mendl's for my shower (randella, expect some FMs from me about this ). So, hey, if no one shows up, at least it means more tea and scones for me

So, how did you decide which 'friends' to invite? This is what I'm having a hard time with. There are people that I'm friendly with and talk to, but not that I'd expect to know a lot of information about me or FH -- my MOH is planning (I think) one of those 'Who knows Jenn best' games.
