How many people did you invite and how many showed up? I'm worried that I'm going to have the smallest shower ever. I think we're going to max out at 20 people. All of my close friends from college live really far out of state and, though I have lots of people I go out with at work, I don't feel quite close enough with them to invite them all to the shower. I'm sort of wondering if it's even worth it to put my BMs through the hassle of planning a shower for me

I wish I could help you with that one but since just family and my bms alone were 60 people and that was the rooms max. capacity I wasn't able to invite any other friends. The cancellations due to the death in the family & the few people who were sick all came at the last min. so there wasn't enough time to send out more invitations.

I am having a similar problem. I have a huge family, but they are all OOT and cannot make 2 trips to NY. I went away for college so none of my friends from school will be able to attend. I work with a bunch of ladies, but they are all Much older than I am and we are not close so I dont really think I will be inviting any of them. My shower will probably be pretty small, but Im sure it will still be nice!

They invited 39 people....4 of them didn't show but send me the gifts anyway. I thought that was sooo thoughtful.
ETA>> I'd had more guests but I kept my lists to the closest people. Even though I know a lot more people, I wanted it to be more intimate and with those I knew the most.

My list was 28, and I'm expecting around 20 to come. I wanted a small shower though, b/c we had a really big e-party and I didn't think it would be appropriate to have a big shower also. So the list I gave my MOH was only my close family and my bridal party.
