how long before your shower did stuff start to disappear from your registry?? I'm almost positive that my shower is Oct. 9th or 10th and hardly anything is missing...serves me right for peeking I guess

The out of towners bought stuff months before, but the local guests waited until the day b4 my shower.
Also, don't feel bad if stuf is still there. Many ppl will buy gift card for the amount & let you get the items yourself, which can be good if you are registered at Bed Bath & Beyond or Fortunoff's, b/c they have a 10% completion discount.

About one week before the shower is when I actually saw items flying off. Before that, it was here and there.

for my engagement party nothing came off until the night before and day of!!! my cousin saw 4 other people buying me gifts in fortunoffs the day of the eparty

We've been getting engagement gift... some from the registry. His mom bought me my flatware within days of me registering (one week after I got engaged).
