Forgot to mention, attended a wedding...

I went to a wedding last Thursday night at The Vineyard Caterers. I thought it was great, and so did my FH who normally doesn't care either way. The view was wonderful!! And they had plenty of outdoor photo locations.

The cocktail hour room was sooooo beautiful. There was seating for everyone too, which I don't normally see, and it was great. The reception room was nice - my favorite part was a split staircase with a beautiful mural painted on it. The bride and groom made their entrance down each staircase and met in the middle...a nice dramatic entrance!

The food was great too. Cocktail hour was plentiful and delicious. The main course was great too, which I normally don't eat (always full from cocktail hour). I had the chateau briand and FH had the mahi mahi (sp?)...both were yummy!

The only time we had to wait at the bar was right after the toast, because everyone wanted a drink and didn't realize you could still get one in the cocktail hour room which was adjacent to the reception room. Besides that, there was no problem getting one...

My friend was so creative with everything. She owns an art studio though, so I wasn't surprised. She went with a whole 'vineyard' theme - she used wine bottle corks as place card holders, she handpainted wine bottles for centerpieces, put long tapered candles in them, and put them up on plastic stands which she covered with this mossy material. Gorgeous! Her favors were votive holders with stems (like a wineglass) which held 'vineyard' scented yankee candles. She then wrapped ivy around the stem of the candle holder - very unique. Even her invitations had a beautiful grape background with a velum overlay.

If you already booked or a considering the Vineyard Caterers, I think it is an excellent choice!! The drive was a bit far, but hey, what are friends for!! Good luck everyone...
