Ok we've booked the Wedding @ Brindisi so now we're thinking of having our engagement party :
Very Fun, Casual, Carefree, intimate celebration of Family & close friends.
We're thinking (again) of having it in my aunts backyard hiring a caterer for a bbq, w/ the traditional BBQ salads etc..
For favors, I'm thinking of:
Home made s'more pops on short lollipop sticks wrapped in celephane , places in a box w/our photo Save the dates on top. The box w/ be tied closed w/ a ribbon in a coordnaiting color.
What do you think?
Thanks so much ladies your the best!!!

Re: Formal Engagement Parties favor question:
You could put the chocolate (or a cookie or candies) in a box then put the STD on top of the box tied with ribbon. That way you don't need the stickers or the personalized ribbon and you're giving more than the STD as a favor.

Chocolate is ALWAYS a good idea!
I'm not sure about doing the monogram on the cookies because it's an engagement party, not your wedding. You could do an e-ring or your wedding date or just your first names.

Re: Formal Engagement Parties favor question:
I love all of the ideas. For our engagement party we purchased white tea cups and saucers wrapped them up in that white tutu material had ribbon with our names and engagement party date on it. Then we had personalized tea bags made.
By the way we got engage on January 6, 2005 which will be a year tommorow and our engagement party was August 20, 2005. Our wedding is September 29, 2007.
if you want just a suggestion..(mainly for people who like to drink)
b/c it'ds backyard summery fun party may be you could do those mini bottles of i know they have like mini bar size bottles flavored or not of absolute(you could use the colors of your wedding) put the STD on the bottom.. put the bottle on top.. wrap it in tulle and close it with ribbon..
just an idea my uncles wife gave it out for a favor at his party.

Great idea, actually for FH's surprize 25th B-day celebration, I gave out mimi bottles of Grey Goose W/ 2 shot galsses, as soon as get a scanner that works I'll post pics everyone loved it. That was the only time People were anxious to take the favors, again once I get a compadible scanner I'll post all the pics
