Sorry to crash again - One of my bm is a planner there and yes they are up for sale. Rumor around there is the company buying them is the company that bought circuit city and linens n things....therefore this company will most likely liquidate them since thats what they do. Nothing is set in stone but they no longer have anything to do with Lord and Taylor. Lots of people who work for them are very nervous about their jobs so say a prayer.

My friend called me this morning...Her FMIL works there and said they are closing tommorrow...its supposed to be a hush hush thing but I guess not..LOL
Anyway IMO I can't imagine they would JUST close....I'm sure they have to get rid of their stuff...

I heard the same thing my brother in law has tons of family that work there and they all said to use all your gift cards b.c tommorrow it is filing for bankruptcy. My sister was in the store on Thursday around 6pm and she said it was a ghostown that she wanted to cry. It is so crazy and scary all these HUGE stores that have been around for decades are closing!
