Hi Ladies, i just got the scoop from Fortunoff, they are as of today accepting gift cards, store credits and reward certificates UNTIL March 8th and they are allowing refunds UNTIL March 10th! So use up those cards while you can and do what you have to do, good luck!! I'm on my way there now

I would hope so because they had some pretty angry people and really bad press!!!!!!!
Do you know I was just on their website and its like nothing is going on! They arent saying anything! It like they arent going to liquidate soon

From what they told me, they had court dates Monday and Tuesday so as of today a group of liquidators bought them and it is going to take 6-12 weeks to completely sell everything off, all locations are going to stay open. It's pretty sad considering it was at one point a family run business and this is what happened

That poor family.. I actually know them and tehy've told me that hey wish they've never sold it to thay guy.. this is all because of greed basically

Yeah, sadly the Fortunoff name is ruined now, I was so excited to register there and i still haven't pickked out a new place to switch it over to, i really don't wanna do Bed Bath, it's not a pretty store, i might as well be registering at Costco with all the stuff piled up to the ceiling!

I saw yesterdays paper that said they were only going to do this if they were bought by a liquidator. It was part of the stipulations. That means they will close soon.

oh once the liquidators buy you.. thats it.. its done.. and techinically by NY state law liquidation companies do not have to honor gift cards or credits because its nothing to them, as in they didnt get the money did (fortunoffs did) so if they are taking them even for a short time thats nice of them.. and actually alot nicer than fortunoffs not accepting them when they still owned the store

I was so sad to have to register somewhere else, however, I went to Bloomingdales, and if you're looking for a nice place to register, go there, it's beautiful, I dealt with Diana and she was absolutely amazing, the sales associates were so friendly and helpful, she took my fortunoff printout and changed everything over while I took the gun with my MOH and walked around. JMO, Bloomies is the way to go.

I must say I started to register at Bloomingdale's on 59th street and Lex (flagship store) and they blew all the other stores out of the water with their CS and merchandise... They dont have as much selection as BBB or Fortunoffs but thier quality of stuff is uncomparable..

Awww, I used all of my credit but that ***** I won't be able to use that rewards credit thing I signed up for because it's only good 90 days after your wedding--bummer.
I woiuld def recommend girls register at Bloomies! I foresee that taking all of the Bridal Registry business!
