I feel like my china NEVER goes on sale!! I registered for Waterford... but there was a lenox setting that looked so similar that i liked a bit better, but i picked the waterford because it was more affordable... but now that lenox is 50% off and less expensive then my waterford... im bummed!

Fh and I did major comparison shopping between the two stores as we are registered at both for the three main things: China, Flatware and Crystal.

To buy Opal Innocence (our pattern) at MACY's although it is 50% off with an additional 15% off (only shown on your statement) if you open an account, it comes to $114.73 if you buy the soup bowl with it at 20% off. Open stock is 20% off.

If you buy Opal Innocence at Fortunoff, it comes to $78.99 with the bowl included. That does not reflect any possible discount if you open an account at Fortunoff (mainly because we don't know IF Fortunoff does that)

It is, however, cheaper to buy the Lenox Flatware at MACY's with the buy two get one free. It is a savings of about 66%.

Kathleen that is the china im registering for and my mom told my grandma so grandma told my mom to get it for me (since they don't have macys where she is) now before it goes back to its orginal price!

I posted this on another thread but so you all know, the registry desk at MACY's said that every time MACY's has a sale Fortunoff will match it and vice versa. They may call to confirm it but they will match it.

We bought out our flatware - YAY - first time I saw COMPLETED on our registry!!!
