Just herd on news12 they are no longer taking gift cards! Just wanted to let everyone know!

this is really bad news i feel bad for those people loosing their jobs!!

guy i met on vacation last week is a manager at fortunoff. i ran into him today (totally funny cuz i told him i always run into ppli meet on cruises)

anyway he said middle of next week there should be some sale going on.



from what i saw today.. the ENTIRE source mall was sooo depressing. every1 just looked blah..understandably so..

the comforter i saw for 60$ is now 199?? im like yeaaaaaa okkkkkkk.. ill wait lol

So they're raising the prices? What kind of sale would they be having? Are they they're looking to get the most amount out of that retail price? Greedy.

Sounds like things didn't go well in court today. Seems they will be going from Sale to Liquidation soon. Sad thing is, DH and I are closing on a house Monday...it would've been nice to shop for deals there. Unfortunately, out of sheer principal, we won't be giving them our business (esp since THEY owe me money).

Sounds like things didn't go well in court today. Seems they will be going from Sale to Liquidation soon. Sad thing is, DH and I are closing on a house Monday...it would've been nice to shop for deals there. Unfortunately, out of sheer principal, we won't be giving them our business (esp since THEY owe me money).

you know, if you have a GC left through them, write to Cuomo's office. He pulled some crap on KayBee b/c they did the same thing. They never notified anyone they weren't going to take their own GC's so he made them let people know they had 10 days to use them.

i'm sure if he head from a few people regarding Fortunoff's he'd do the same

Maybe I'm missing something. Gift cards are already PAID for and if you allow people to use them they'll be getting stuff out ot the store at a higher price (i.e., before the liquidation sale). Why won't Fortunoff allow people to use them? I'm so confused.

that is just awful, I saw the news article on the Queens couple who got tons of gift cards from Fortunoff for their wedding, and now they can't spend it.
