Fortunoff RANT- wedgewood white PRICE misprint!!!!!UPDATE

So after like 3 months of not knowing what i was gonig to choose for my everyday china, last week my mom and I (and fiance) chose Wedgewood white China as our everyday....................

so i have a giftcard to Forunoff and went to the Westbury lcation today w/ FI. well she went to ring up 2 place settings and told me that the price was 173 or something like that. I'm like, oh i thought they were 49.95 each a place setting.......... so i took her over to the china and showed it to her and she's like oh that sale is over... i'm like well why is the sign still up? IT shows 49.95 you save 58% off suggested retail price........She refused to take the sign down though. So then i'm like well whatever i don't want them. She's like okay i'll honor the cheaper price but the origainal is 79, i'm like hello i have to buy 6 more place settings in the future... so i'm gonna go to a different location and see what they say, but i'm just annoyed wtih the CUSTOMER SERVICE and why they have to be so misleading....... to be continued

So today we went to the one in NJ.. we got the place settings for 49.99.. but we had to argue for it b/c now the signs were changed to 79.... I had trouble with them using a gift card I had got at a bridal show--it shows a zero balance.. they sent me to every office before i got sent back to the bridal registry.. long story short i was able to use it towards my registiry.. and I complained and got free shipping since nothing was in stock..........

Compare w/Macy's and Bed, Bath and Beyond...see which is cheaper and then go to them and they'll honor the lower price!

Fortunoff was a real PIA about honoring a lower price...especially from BB&B

yes well see that's the problem. BBB and Macys both have it for 79 a place setting i believe. That's what Fortunoff tried to charge me today regardless of the fact that the sign still sayas 49......... i'll see what happens tomorrow

FIrst, I would have a manager on this. Second, if the place settings are at BBB as well, I would take a BBB coupon over the Fortunoff-they have to give you the 20% off if they carry the same stuff. Make sure your coupon is not expired.
