If someone buys offline, does it go to the ship to address (mine) or can they put their address and have it sent to their house?

I received some registry items for xmas from my FMIL. She ordered them online off my registry and had them sent to her home.

In the past, I have had to specify when I place my orders that I want the gift sent to my house, otherwise it would have been sent to the bride's house.
