I am torn between Fortunoff and Bloomingdales for my 'main' registry. (The 'secondary' one will be Williams-Sonoma).
I will be registering primarily for sheets, towels, and silverware at either store.
I like Fortunoff because a lot of my FH's family members shop there and it seems to be very popular with LI-ers. But I love Bloomingdale's selection.
Please share any experience you have had with either registry! Thanks!

Re: Fortunoff vs. Bloomingdales: where to register?
I did not register at Bloomie's, I registered at Fortunoff and I was very happy. I had no problem returning things afterwards, and I think they had a great selection of everything.

I plan to go with Fortunoff's too. Why can't you register at both?

I think we are doing Fortunoff too. When should I register for a Sept wedding?

Re: Fortunoff vs. Bloomingdales: where to register?
I registered at both - I figured that local people know fortunoffs and would probably shop there - but I have a lot of local family who love Bloomingdales and would rather shop there.
I also picked Bloomingdales because we have a lot of people coming to the wedding from out of state and they all know bloomingdales but would not know fortunoffs.-
But they both have online registry's so people can choose to shop there if they want.

Re: Fortunoff vs. Bloomingdales: where to register?
My cousin was just telling me last night about Bloomingdales' registry. She said that a friend of hers had registered there, and she went to go buy this friend a gift. However, that Bloomies didn't have the gift she wanted to buy, and was going to charge her $15 extra for the transfer from another store!
Also yesterday my Mom and I were in Bloomies looking at the Chanukah Merchandise. We saw this cute little stuffed Dreidel (no bigger than 6 inches long), and we wanted to buy it for the baby in our family. It wasn't marked, so we took it to the cashier, who informed us that it would be $70!!!!!!!!!!!!! We've bought WATERFORD Dreidels for less!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I registered at both! I have family out of state and they don't have Fortunoff's there but they do have Bloomingdale's. So far it's been good with both, though I have a feeling we'll get more stuff from Fortunoff's than Bloomies.

I think Fortunoff's has a bigger selection of stuff to register for than Bloomingdales and may be less expensive. Just my opinion...
