I had the same problem at Fortunoff when i bought a gift for a friend, all of the china i bought came in damaged. They returned it for her, but still.

For me, Bloomindales & Pier 1 no issues so far.

That's ridiculous, we still have not ordered yet. My cousin is registered at Fortunoff's and I have not heard about anything bad. We just had her Bridal Shower last month and she got alot of gifts from her registry, but no complaints so far.

We havent registered yet.. We want to do Pier 1 and Maybe Linens and things.. We were going to register at Fortunoffs but alot of my girlfriends that did said dont that it is a waste... We already have alot of stuff.. like china sooo we just need basic things..

Don't get me wrong, I think they were great when I went and my sister registered there and it was fine... I think I am just having bad luck with them.... I just wanted to know if anyone else had problems...

I've had issues returning things to fortunoff. Just make sure everything is on your registry that you want to return and it was taken off your registry by the person who bought it. Otherwise, you need to ask them for the receipt because they won't even take it back since they can't prove it was purchased there. Plus I had to go to each dept and return the items that came from there instead of just returning all of them at accomodations. Plus my friend received a gift that was damaged and they wouldn't take it back because you only have a certain amount of time from your wedding date to return items, even if you never opened them.

Fortunoff and Crate and Barrel...haven't had trouble with either..

ok we are reg at Macys, JcPenny, Pier one, one we have 2 things on our home depo reg

fortunoff ugh..don't get me started. i received another bride's gifts with her gift card, and she got mine! (sent courtesy of johnny&maur). it took several calls from me as well as a few threats to sort it out.

i'm also at macys and BBB, and wish i had kept it at that.

Bloomingdale's and Fortunoff - So far I haven't had any major problems with either.
I did have a minor mix-up at Fortunoff because the girl who gave me the zapper uploaded the wrong registry number so I was adding things to another girl's registry and the other girl was adding things to mine!!!
The Bridal Reistry Manager ending up straightening things out immediately and even gave me a gift certificate to apologize for my inconvenience. Other than that, no problems.

Problems with Macys but they are the only ones who carry our everyday china in the story ..but I think my FMIL has since straightened them out

i'm registered at macy's - look into it- they have a great program where you get money back!!!

currently i just started my second week working at fortunoff's and they are a good store - although i work in the customer service center so all i deal with are complaints or people ordering items!

but def go to macys and ask about their registry!!

I am registered at Fortunoff, Bloomies and Crate and Barrel- my only problem was with crate- they let someone buy me a gift i already had- really annoying since it was clearly purchased MONTHS agao- and I had to return it

it wasn't the end of the world- and of course I bought things once I was in there

I have heard alot of people have problems with fortunoff's thats why I won't register there I will probably do macy's bed bath beyond and target I love target

I used to work for Macy's - they can be a nightmare also- Don't register on a sale day- b/c they when the stuff goes off sale- and people go to buy it for you- the price will be much higher

My friend who also worked for them left in tears after no one would help her

Not that any one really helped me at fortunoff either- I work in the housewares industry and I still felt overwhelmed- so I can only imagine how hard it is when you really don't know about the products!

Fortunoffs, although I only have like 3 things on that registry. Everything else is at Bed Bath and Beyond. I love it there. Everyone shops there, plus they can use a coupon. Also, if you return something on your registry, they will give you cash back without a receipt.
