Yikes! I am registered at Fortunoff, Macy's and Bed, Bath and Beyond.
I have rec'd gifts from Fortunoff and Macy's, no problems...yet!

Fortunoff, Linens 'N Things and Pottery Barn. I've received e-party gifts from all of the stores and have had no major problems. The only problem I've run into was with LNT, I received doubles of 2 items. That was kind of annoying but I don't know who's fault it was. If the buyer didn't say it was off a registry how is the sales person supposed to know?

Not that any one really helped me at fortunoff either- I work in the housewares industry and I still felt overwhelmed- so I can only imagine how hard it is when you really don't know about the products!
I think with Fortunoff it depends on the day that you're there and which location. The one at the Source - no one gives you help. But the one in White Plains (where FH lives) I think is excellent as far as customer service goes.

We had something arrive from Fortunoff and it had no card with it.. We had no idea who it was from. After asking around we finally figured out who it was from. It was supposed to come gift wrapped and with a card that had a personal message, and it didnt have either. They did send us an apology letter though and handled it very professionally.

macys and crate and barrel not liking macys so much - you can only put certain items on the registry- as in, you are limited to certain departments. i love c&b stuff though. i wish they carried crystal there

Not registered yet but most likely Fortunoff and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Maybe Crate & Barrel but I feel like that's too many places, LOL.
Fortunoff, Crate & Barrel, & Macy's....we have had no problems.

I was registered at Macy's and cancelled my registry there because I was completely ignored the 3 times I tried to go there. I have always had such great experiences at Fortunoff though. I went in on weekend and it was kind of busy so I had to wait for someone to help me on the floor, but they were still helpful when they did get around to me. The ladies in the bridal area are always so friendly and helpful and they always seem to remember something about me and ask how the wedding plans are coming, etc. I have told all of my friends to register there without a doubt. I felt a little overwhelmed the first time and they had someone walk around with me and help me out. They truly made the registering process a pleasant one for me. Now if my guests would just start sending the gifts.
