So my sis just called me and was telling me that she got me something online from Fortunoffs for my bridal shower (because they are closing) and she got a call from the saleslady at Fortunoffs saying they may not be able to honor the shipment because the item was scheduled to ship at March 3. My sis wanted to know if they would be open by then and the saleslady said that she was pretty sure that they would close by Feb. 17!!! Use those gift cards girls!

Im sorry I dont mean to stress you my sis called me in shock because she said she spent a lot of money ( I think its something with the china because only Fortunoffs carried this effing design) so she freaked out when they told her this.

Mother F-ers! I am so pissed. You have NO idea. It's just like MY luck. My shower is at the end of the month (I think) and if they close before than, that ruins EVERYTHING. I am SO livid right now- you have NO idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, I called them and spoke to Sydney. Again, it's not sounding too promising this time. I asked if they were closing the 17th and she said no, there is no date. She said they are waiting for offers and such. She told me that being I am getting married in April, I should be fine but if I am getting married in the summer then that's a whole different story.

WHY????? WHY did those people have to sell that place. WHY?????? Can't you see I am pissed here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, that was the answer I got. It's crap. It makes me so mad. I am worried about enough sh*t as is with this wedding and this is another thing piled on to it that I really shouldn't have to be concerned about. I mean, TWO weeks ago they had a promotion where you had to register for 5K worth of stuff to win prizes. WHY would they do that??!!??!!?? WHY when they are going under? It's so unfair!

I had two registries going..

Luckily alot of my fortunoff stuff was already bought last week when they had that 25% off sale (yes i peeked at my registry..lol).. and i transfered some stuff to bed bath (pricing was the same)



But i did notice- the gift card option that they had added is no longer available and a few of my stuff is 'no longer available online'

This is just horrible-

Try not to stress- its really out of our hands

I know it's frustrating and annoying but the way I see it is that if they do close there will be lots of people losing their jobs and that is much worse then having to do our registries all over again. What I am saying is that there are much worse things that can happen than this.

even last year for my shower was before they were going bankrupt and they were bought by another company. About 99% of my items on my fortunoff registry were not available so NOBODY was able to get me anything off of this registry. I was so pissed off. Thats why i posted a while ago on here when one girl wanted to register JUST at fortunoff's, i said DO NOT do this, i had tons of problems last year and if they dont get everything in order they will go bankrupt for good or have alot of issues. Sorry youre going through this, but you have 2 other registries right? yeah all my guests just got me stuff off my 2 other registries. What i would do is if you have major stuff such as china, or any big items. Delete them from your fortunoff registry and add china and other big items on your other registries.
