Found a Place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We found a place for our e-party!!! It's The Metropolitan in Glen Cove. I know everyone thinks it's too close to the wedding for an e-party, but it is what it is, and it got pushed back for lots of reasons. I want to thank Barbara (BarbieGrl10) for all her help!!! Barb, I really appreciate all your suggestions. We went everywhere yesterday! In the end The Met in Glen Cove is the perfect place for us! It will be the Sunday of President's Weekend. We're having a cocktail reception from 5 pm to 8 pm. We'll have passed hors d'oeuvres and a huge antipasto table, also pastries and cookies and coffee and tea. And open bar of course!! I'm so excited!! We were so sad that things kept happening that we couldn't get a party together to celebrate our enagement, etc. and in the end it worked out! So the invitation reads

'To Celebrate the Engagement and Upcoming Marriage of their Children
Allegra Cristina
and
Michael Frank......'

Awesome, congrats! My coworker's daughter just got married there a few weeks ago and it looked great from the pics I saw.

Congrats! I was at a wedding there a couple of years ago and it was great.

Most people don't do a shower if they have an engagement party so close to the wedding. Just something to keep in mind.

Ohhh that's going to be a nice party. That place was one of the possible places I was going to have my wedding. It's really nice and I have heard nothing but good things!

Wow! Thats great! Don't worry about the e-party being so close to the wedding. My friend got engaged last Christmas and then had her e-party in Feb. and then had her shower in May and wedding in July. It was beautiful.
