Sooooo l live in Suffolk County. I called around around and found out the Wedding Salon of Manhasset has my dress!! For $90 more.

If you were in my shoes, would you just suck up the $90 so I can avoid having to spend money each time I go to city to do fittings OR pay $90 more to be closer?

Can you buy off the rack at RK? If I could buy off the rack, I'd suck it up and get it there. If you have to order, then I'd pay the $90 more and get it locally.

Forget about the cost of the train ticket but the time you will spend traveling and waiting for the train. With all that you need to do the last 2 months before the wedding, finding 4 hours to go to the city 3-4 times isn't going to be easy.

I'd pay the $90. Do you really want to bother having to go into the city for fittings and picking up your dress? I know every penny counts these days, but in the grand scheme of paying for a wedding, $90 is nothing to save your time and sanity.

I would pay the $90 and go to the Wedding Salon of Manhasset. Train tickets and the time you invest to go into the city is going to add up to more than $90 quick. Plus, the Wedding Salon of Manhasset is amazing!! You won't regret it.

I found my dress at the wedding salon of Manhassett and I LOVVVVVVVVVVVED them!! I got mine at a trunk show. Do they do trunk shows for your designer?

Id suck up the 90 dollars. Bc Trips into the city are 25 dollars everytime you go and before you know it, it woul have cost you more than the 90 dollars in Nassau. Maybe they could even price match ?

I got my dress at RK, but I live in BK. I would rather pay $200 to save myself a trip on the LIRR and to be as far away as possible from Penn Station. The place makes my skin crawl!

Manhasset! You can drive there and park! No feeding a meter, no train delays, and grab dinner at Las Vinas on Plandome Road after your fitting, delish

pay the $90 the cost probably equals out with train tickets you have to pay. i drive to Manhasset daily from eastern suffolk not to bad of a trip without traffic (don't go during rush hours!lol)

I also found my dress at RK bridal but I didn't want to go into the city for alterations, so I called up some bridal salons on the island and found my dress, but it was cheaper then RK bridal so I was happy about that. I know RK bridal matches prices I'm not sure about any other salons, but you can always ask them to match RK bridals price. They are a business they should want you to buy the dress from them, plus if you get your BMs dresses there your bringing them business. If all else fails pay the 90 dollars.

Congrats!! I'd pay the $90. I live in Queens and I'd rather pay more (in the grand scheme of things, it's not THAT much more) to not have to drag my a** into the city for every fitting and for the final pickup.

Congrats!! Have you also considered alterations? If there's a big difference in alterations then that might be something to consider. I think RK is on the lower end. And I'd also consider who had the better reviews for alterations, but I think both are great. Also, you can ask Manhasset to price match. And if you go during a trunk show you can get it for even less sometimes. Good luck!!

i would pay the $90 but did you ask wedding salon if they could meet RK's price? They might just be willing to work with you. one more important thing- did you check the price of alterations at RK vs. wedding salon of manhassett? b/c i got my dress at wedding salon and as much as i loved everything about it, the alterations were expensive.
