Found my dress!/ Bridal Reflections vs. Kleinfeld
Ooooooooooooo Mmmmmmmmmm Ggggggggg!
I FOUND MY DRESS!! I am on cloud 9! I am sorry that I don't have a picture right now to show you. I bought a Stephen Yearick dress from Bridal Reflections (5th ave). They had a trunk show and I was able to meet the designer who actually dedicated a lot of time to helping me pick out the dress for me.
It is interesting because going to Kleinfeld wasn't much of an experience for me. I felt as though I was rushed (although I got there 20 minutes early) and that they did not provide me with a good variety of dresses.
Clearly, there are many factors that go into a bridal consultant showing a bride dresses. However, in Kleinfeld, I felt like I was just trying on nice dresses within my price range. In Bridal Reflections, I felt like I was trying on dresses that were right for ME (based on what I wanted and what the consultant suggested). I have never felt that pampered (especially after having a budget below their high end dress prices). They assured me that they will take care of me and help me find the best dress for me. The consultant respected my thoughts on the choices and didn't force any specific style, price, or dress.
I would summarize it by saying that Kleinfeld's consultant was a nice person, but just wasn't a skilled consultant.
