Found out what killed Sparky (my kitten)
So ya'll know we had to put my 10 month old kitten to sleep on the 6th
He wasnt eating right and we took him in. They took a look and found enlarged lymph nodes and his intestines were a mess all enlarged and even had growths on the surfaces instead of being smooth.
Likely candidates were Luekemia, FIP, Cancer. The byopsy is back
It was FIP
I can't pronouce much less spell it out but it was contagious and lethal. No cure, no treatment and so many signs that its nearly impossible to identify.
Here's where it get sticky. We also have a 6 year old cat who's diabetic. We wanted to know if it could get passed on and where it came from.
Probably came from the NSAL (oh joy) and he had it for awhile. He was only 10months old. He probably wasnt contagious because the sign for that is.. and I quote 'Violent and explosive runs' .
STILL, we now have to throw away anything Sparky chewed on and clean anywhere he used as a sleeping area.
We were crying to just thinking of tossing out and old box that I had that Sparky used to curl up in and look up at us. His chewie toy is practically in momument status and now we have to get rid of everything!!!
We have TONS of toys he soaked with chewing.![]()

They advise a two month waiting period before a new kitten is brought in. We've been looking and I was afraid that the new kitten may catch this and we can't handle this again.
