I want to buy a foundation for the day of the wedding, this way if I need a touch up I can have it on hand.
Which foundation would you recommend. I use MAC studio finish now, but looking for something else. Has anyone ever had their foundation from Prescriptives (color matched)
Plus I tend to shine up on the T Zone
Any help??

Re: Foundation recommendation
do you like heavy or light? If you like light, I would recommend the Clinique's Oil Free foundation.
If you like heavy, MAC felt pretty heavy to me when I had tried it on.
I also tried Lancome, and did not like that it didn't appear smoothing as the end result.

Re: Foundation recommendation
For light coverage I use Trish McEvoy water based foundation (I mostly use that on days I will be outside alot or hot weather)
and all other times I use the Laura Mercier oil free....It's AWESOME and has good coverage.
But I also heard that the prescriptives is good, i've just never tried it!

Both of my sisters use Prescriptives, and both swear by it. They won't wear any other foundation.

Re: Foundation recommendation
I dont use liquid foundation...it just doesnt give me the look i want. But MAC has this stuff called FIX....I love it....its a kind of powder foundation that also absorbs the oil around the T zone if thats what you need. I really wanted it to even out my skin and cover the occasional blemishes....its the best product I have used in ages...
I will definitley be using this on my day....my skin gets oily too and certain products just bring it out more.

Re: Foundation recommendation
In Style recommends Laura Mercier's foundation as the best. They also sell a foundation primer which keeps the make-up on all day. It is excellent.

If you like light coverage, I use Clinique Almost Makeup for foundation, and I love it. It is so light I dont even feel like I am wearing anything.

I like Clinique base and Neutrogena pressed powder. Neutralizes shine and looks and feels very natural.

Re: Foundation recommendation
If you're having your makeup done, buy a sample of the exact shade you'll be wearing from the person applying it. That way, you won't be touching up with something that is a diff. color or a diff. texture (if you apply an oily over water based or vise versa it can look really bad).

Re: Foundation recommendation
Since you are having it done, use a matte pressed powder for your touch-ups, that'll work fine. I'm using my regular clinique stay matte pressed powder.

Re: Foundation recommendation
This chanel does wonders for oily T zone like no other. I can't live without it even though I a lot of times have the urge to save and get something less pricey. I end up not using anything else.

Re: Foundation recommendation
Are you having someone do your makeup? Are you having airbrush done?
With the airbrushed foundation, I found I didn't need to touch my makeup...and I have pretty oily skin. I did have some blotting tissues in my purse in case of shine, but I didn't even use them.

Re: Foundation recommendation
I have used Prescriptives Virtual Skin for a long time and I love it. I've tried many others by MAC, Clinque, Estee Lauder but I like Prescriptives best.

Re: Foundation recommendation
I use Bobbi Brown's foundation stick...it is great becuase it is like a giant lipstick tube...it is small and fits well inside a small bag. It is creamy and does the trick really well. Go to the makeup counter and try on different kinds to see which you like the best.
