Re: Fountainhead, New Rochelle
I went to a graduation party there and it was the best food I'd ever had at a hall. The service was great for the most part, except that I got up during dinner, and when I came back to my table my food was gone. The setup is great... doesnt feel like 'wedding factory.' Its easy to get to from NYC, the lobby is beautiful...definitely a good choice and compared to the other halls in the area and on the strip....its the best.

Re: Fountainhead, New Rochelle
My cousin got married there about 5 years ago and it was the best cocktail hour I have ever seen/tasted (except for mine of course!!). There was so much food and it was so good. Everyone was raving about it and people still talk about the cocktail hour. The only thing I didn't like about Fountainhead was the location. Otherwise, once you are inside, it is really nice and the food is amazing.

No, but Glenn Island is- though it's also much more expensive. Fountainhead is really nice though. My friend just got married there in November and was really happy. I only attended the CH because I'd just had a baby and the food was plentiful and yummy. Yes the location isn't the greatest, but once you're inside it's gorgeous!

Re: Fountainhead, New Rochelle
The fountainhead is also owned by Glen Island, which is were I am getting married.
They are both great!!!!! Food is very good, staff is very professional.
The only difference is Glen Island is on the water and the Fountainhead is not. It does not have a grand entrance as you drive up like some catering halls have. You kinda just pull into the parking lot. Most catering halls have more of a grand drive in. Other than that it is wonderful. My FH's brother got married at the fountainhead.

Fountainhead Brides... You have NOTHING to worry about!
It was my first time there and the food was delicious! Cocktail hour was wonderful... lots of passed appetizers- the bracciole and the polenta were my favorite besides the raw clams and oysters! They had passed sushi- lamb chops (Dh was disappointed that they didnt get to him, but they looked so good) They had so much to choose from! Cocktail Hour is always my favorite part and this one was one of the best we have been to...
The martini bar was a nice touch! The chocolate martinis were yummy!
They room was gorgeous! Very spacious! Pretty room! Their cake was pretty, I dont know if it was one provided by the hall or not... I didnt taste it though..
Their band- Daybreak's Night was excellent! People were dancing all night long! We had looked at them too and they were our 2nd choice! They were really, very good!
The Viennesse Hour was so great! 3 chocolate fountains, chocolate covered strawberries, every kind of pastry and dessert you can think of...zeppoles...
Service was very good, our waitress was always around, getting us drinks without asking us-
Only thing- dh and I asked that our filet be cooked medium rather than medium rare-they way they said they make it- and they said okay, but when it came it was not medium ... I was fine with it, but DH likes his less rare... it was fine...
The 'sides' were augratin potatoes and a spinach quiche/casserole thing and veggies- it was different and good!
Anything else you might be wondering, let me know, hopefully I can answer...
The bride and groom were so happy the entire night! I said this to someone earlier, but their laughter and smiles were contagious!
It was a really great wedding!
