I know some people might think I am incredibly rude for saying this, but I would just put 11:00 AM.

You're not rude at all. Actually when AnnMarie replied to an email i sent her, she stated to me that if i had not already done my invites, she would suggest that i put the start time for 6:30pm. My actual ceremony starts at 7:00. She is the person I will be meeting with to do the final arrangements at Fox Hollow and all of the ladies on the FH thread raves about her, so I assume she knows what she is talking about. Besides there are many brides who put anywhere from 15-30 min. earlier than the actual start time. I think it's a normal thing to do.

Please put the real ceremony time on the invitations. If you want to add that people who show up early get treats, say it on an insert. I'd be annoyed if I were kept waiting for the ceremony to start. If I get there late and miss the ceremony, that's my fault.

My ceremony starts at 6:30 and I put 6:30 on my invites.

the first thing my BM told me was 'your ceremony is at 1130 so you will put 11am on the invites'.. Fox Hollow tells you to do this..so they are expecting that yes some people wil be there at 11am, so im sure they will accomodate them. I always get to weddings at the time on the invite and expect to have to wait at least a little bit...

Honestly, I put 7PM when mine starts at 8PM. All of my guests are from CT since that's where I am from and some from even further away and from experience to meet all my vendors and each time I've driven to FH on the day of the week my wedding would be, there has been traffic and my BM told me to do this as well. So, I don't think it matters. If people get there earlier, they will be accommodated so I don't see the big deal at all. At least I won't be walking down the aisle to half the amount of people I invited and since the ceremony is only about 20 minutes long, if people are even 20 mins late to the ceremony, it's over. So, I think it's fine.

I put the actual time, 12:30, on our invitations. I had no idea that the NYC Marathon would be scheduled for the same exact morning. Which means that now I'm kicking myself that I didn't put an earlier time, because some guests have already expressed concerns that they may be late or delayed. My answer would be to do what I would do in this situation, leave earlier and plan ahead, but..... that's just me. Plus, it's daylight savings time, turn the clocks back an hour, so I put an insert into our invitations that mentioned this as a gentle reminder.

I'd say put either 15 or 30 minutes earlier just to be sure, especially if your wedding is on a day where outside events could affect timing.

I would put 11 to give people time to get there and settled. Most people run late, so if they think they have to be there by 11, they'll be there by 11:15 latest which is still 15 mins before the actual start.
