Fox Hollow

Hello,
Can anyone tell me anything about Fox Hollow.
We live in Florida and just booked our reception there...
How is the food, service etc...
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

fox hollow is amazing! I honestly can't say enough about the place. I've never heard anything negative about the service or the food. Everytime we go there everyone is soooooo nice and the place is beautiful!

You're going to have a fabulous reception!

Re: Fox Hollow

Thank you...
I am so worried because we live in Florida and it is very difficult to get any kind of information. We are not able to do a taste test...and the quality of the food is very important.
Also we are getting married in March 2008-I am hoping that the weather is great.

I don't want to waste your time...but any info you can offer for reassurance would be great!!

Re: Fox Hollow

you really have no need to worry being that you booked with Fox Hollow. We didn't go for a tasting but we did eat in their restuarant and the food was amazing AND my cousin got married there (granted it was 10 years ago) but everyone loved the food and even now if you do a search on these boards you'll find people raving about the food and service.

I don't know if you need a florist but if you do, being that you're in florida and probably don't know many of the vendors and what not let me suggest the fox hollow's florist. We're using him, his name is Richard and we've found him to be so unbelievably honest and willing to work with you to get you what YOU want and not what he thinks you should have (which is the feeling we got from a lot of the other florists we went to). I trust him completely and feel so relieved that we're using him.

And we're getting married in march of 08 too!

I did read a lot of great reviews about Fox Hollow...
I feel so much better...thank you so much.
Originally we had plan to have the CH in the Garden Pavillion and the reception in The Briar Fox but we wanted to larger room for the reception so we had to switch. We are having the CH hour in the Briar Fox and the reception in the Garden Terrace. Now, I am a little concerned because I may have to spruce up the Briar Fox....
It is very dark...I hope that they put candles or something...

Great! I am really getting excited now about my choice...
We are having the cocktail hour in the Briar Fox and the reception in the Garden Terrace.
March 2008....I hope the weather is great and not like how it was this year...
Do you know if they provide tea lights/candles in the Briar Fox or am I responsible for the decorating?
I am not crazy about my BM?

who did you book with?

I was told that all you have to do is ask and they'll basically put candles wherever you want

Food, service and decor is impeccable. I've been to a couple of weddings there and a function. The food is very yummy!

Hi!! We are doing the same thing (reception in Garden Terrace and CH in Briar Fox)....I'm pretty sure they supply floating roses (or something to that effect) for the CH.....IMO with the fireplace and all the wood I don't really think you will need to decorate it much, especially if it's just for the CH, it's a very pretty room. Unfortunetly the pictures on the website A) do not do it justice and B) are not current (they added the fireplace after the pics were taken). Fortunetly, I go there all the time, I'll see if I can get some better pictures for you!! I know it feels crappy to be uneasy about the choices you make but TRUST ME it's all beautiful and the atmosphere is amazing!! No worries

I can say also that the food is excellent. I went to a Christmas Party there in 2005 and to the Bridal Show on the 28th (they were passing food around) and everything was fabulous!!!! Especially these little spinach thingys YUM and I don't even like spinach!!

I'm not too keen on my BM either....acutally I don't think I officially even have one.....I booked with Ron T. but saw Frank the last time I was there to make a deposit. Frank was actually pretty funny!!....I hope to work with him for the wedding!!

Anyway...that's all I got for you right now.....and don't worry, everything will be beautiful!!!

PS don't know if it makes a difference.....but there are two bars in the Garden Terrace room which my family, being the lushes they are, absolutely loved!! OH OH and the bridal suite for the Garden Terrace is THE BEST!!!!!!!! Balcony, Fireplace and all!!!

My BM told me they have all premium liquor and whatever they don't have that I request they will get.

Re: Fox Hollow

Cheers to that...2 Bars...my fiance's family are lushes too...
They also said that they serve premium liquor (Grey Goose, Dewar etc..) and that the bartender can make anything,,,,from a frozen margarita to martinis...Yummy...I hope they serve it in the proper glassess.
My BM is Ken and I was thrilled to chat with him on the phone but when we came up there a couple of weeks ago...I was a little worried.
Also, what we talked about as far as the menu was a little different when he sent the contract so I had to questions him...he said it was a misunderstanding on my part.
We were going to take the smaller room 0Garden Pavillion for the CH and Briar Fox for the reception and were quoted for that...but my fiance's family are lushes as well as dancers....they have been waiting 12 years for this day...
So he increased the guarantee but I feel like he is taking away from the CH...

So far I have had a good experience planning my wedding through them. I have eaten at teh restaurant and the food has been good!

Re: Fox Hollow

Glad to hear that the food is good...that was one of my major concerns..
Now I have to deal with my BM and who knows what problems I will encounter.
Who is your BM? I am using Ken...

Re: Fox Hollow

The impression I got is that you really don't deal with your BM too much, other than finalizing things, am I mistaken here?

And just a question, does anyone know what the guarentee for the Garden Terrace (think that's the name) room is? We're in the Briar Fox and last time I saw it I pretty much freaked out because I didn't love it - hoping that was just a dumb reaction but I'm wondering if maybe I can change rooms...
