Hello,
Can anyone tell me anything about Fox Hollow.
We live in Florida and just booked our reception there...
How is the food, service etc...
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Fox Hollow

I have been communicating with my BM since last year September...and he seemed really nice but when I met him, I didn't get a good vibe.
He was very sweet and did what he could to get me to sign the contract...salesperson personality.
He gave us a guarantee of 150 for the Garden Terrace room but it is on a Sunday evening/night..
When is your wedding?

Re: Fox Hollow

My wedding is a Saturday evening, so I'd assume the guarentee would be higher and I don't want that many people.
I don't know why I was freakin about about the room - one thing was that I really HATED the paintings on the wall, how dumb is that?

Our BM is Dawn and she was awesome, just a normal person, didn't really push us into signing at all, which was nice. Maybe your BM was just having a bad day when you met him, I'm sure it will be fine.

Great to know...
we booked with Ken....
I am hoping that is right ...about the candles..
I don't need another expense right now...
I am totally stressed out...need to also find a hairstylist....Don't know if I will get to have a test run so I need someone that is FABULOUS!!! In the area because prior to the wedding, I will be staying at the FH Inn

Re: Fox Hollow

I loved the Garden Pavillion for the CH hour but since we wanted the Garden Terrace for the reception, we have to use the Briar Fox..
It is a beautiful room, dark but the dark woods and the fireplace give it a very warm cozy feeling. Make sure they put lots of candles...

You girls have NOTHING to worry about with Fox Hollow. I just got married there this Friday and it was beyond perfect...the service was incredible...food amazing. I had my reception in the Briar Fox and it was beautifully lit. I can't even convey with words how incredible they are.

The bartender actually remembered my guest's drink orders and would have the drink poured before they even came to the bar. Frank is in charge of the final arrangements, and he is so funny and really puts you at ease. The Maitre D and Bridal Attendant were so calm and kept everything running so smoothly.

Feel free to FM me with any other questions!!

My FSIL was married there, the food was excellent! Everyone kept commenting on how good it was, and the service was incredible too. I've also eaten in the restaurant several times & we've always had a wonderful experience. Are you having the Viennese Hour?

I love Fox Hollow! I think its so beautiful and has a perfect rustic charm which is exactly the setting I was looking for to host my autumn wedding! I've never eaten in the restaraunt but when we met the BM he served us some food. Mmmm!

You don't really deal to much with the BM unless its related to your contract.

I was there last week. It was really beautiful. And i liked the food. If you look at the reviews there are a few brides that have been married there and the pics looked amazing.

I really like how well kept it is. Some places I looked at looked a little, um, outdated/rundown/not taken care of. I also like how from the second I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome, I also did not get that everywhere!

However, I hate the maroon chairs. I have this thing with maroon...when I say hate, I mean HATE. My dad offered to pay for chair covers

Sounds wonderful and so reassuring to hear...
Do you have pictures?
Who is Frank? Your BM?

Re: Fox Hollow

My CH is in the Briar Fox also but it starts at 4pm..
What do you suggest for Hot Buffet Stations?
There have been so many times that we have gone to weddings and the food was awful....is FH as good as they say they are?
Did you have to buy any floral arrangements, tea lights or decorations for the Bria Fox (Cocktail Hour)?
The room is a bit dark....what exactly do they do to enhance it?
I live in Florida so the day of the wedding will be the day that I am seeing everything decorated etc..What should I expect?
I was there in March for about an hour...and I loved it.
Tell me everything...if you have the time...

I got married at the Fox Hollow and I loved it!!! I was so happy with them. They went above and beyond for us. Service was top notch. My maitre d' and bridal attendant were excellent!!! I have absolutely no complaints they were my favorite vendor!!!!!!

I got married in the Garden Terrace Room and had my cocktail hour in the Briar Fox Room.

FM me if you want more details!!!!!

Re: Fox Hollow

The food is really really good...I did not encounter one problem or issue with anything. Everyone raved about it. For cocktail hour we had the italian and asian stations. I was a little too excited to eat, but from what my guests said everything tasted delicious. They provide all the decour for the cocktail hour. In the Briar Fox the fire was going which provided a really nice atmosphere. I prefer a dim romantic look, and with the dark wood it was great. If you want more light, the room has a dimmer switch, so you can make it more well lit. Frank is who makes the final arrangements and goes over everything with you a few days before the wedding. My MD and Bridal Attendant made sure everything went smoothly, and were there to take care of anything we needed.

Re: Fox Hollow

I was at the Fox Hollow 2 days ago for a PWP Florist appt., my FMIL and I walked around a bit because we were really early so I got ALOT of pictures of the Garden Terrace and a few of the Briar Fox (fireplace and all!!) so when I upload them from my camara I'll post them ASAP.

I took alot of up-close photos of the tables in the GT room, a friend of mine is a Interior designer and she's going to use her art program to change the colors of my linens and put the centerpiece on the table so I can see what it looks like before hand.....just a little idea for anyone who has access to photoshop, etc.

I also got some lobby photos and some outdoor patio photos.

Pics Coming Soon!!

Thanks so much...............
I am sooooooooooooo bad at this...I didn't even think of linen color...I assumed they were all the same color...do I have to pick a certain color?
I can't wait to see the pics.
How is the PWP florist? Don't want to be nosy, but are you getting a good price?
My BF recommended her florist and she said that she can do everything for under $1500???
I sent her the pics of the centerpieces that I love and she had no objections when it came to price.
I attached the word document so that she can see the pics.

This website is so helpful....I am meeting quite a few people, getting great feedback and so glad that I finally joined.

FYI: A past bride recommended a great hairstylist

You're sooo welcome!!! You get to pick your linen colors at Fox Hollow, I believe that comes a few months or weeks before your event. If I come across a list of colors (maybe I'll e-mail them?, or maybe a past FH bride could help us out?) I'll let you know.

The florist was AWESOME!! His name is Richard. I wrote a little MINI-REVIEW about my visit with him. He was actually the first florist I met with so I couldn't tell you how great his price was however I will say that I'm getting alot of flowers and I didn't think the price was all that unreasonable. When I go to more florists this week I'll let you know how they compare.

What do the centerpieces you want to use look like? Care to post a pic?

I haven't even gotten that far in planning yet so I couldn't tell you....try searching the name to see if any reviews come up. The search function here is pretty accurate compared to other message boards.

These are some of my ideas for centerpieces

Re: Fox Hollow

LOL!! I don't get any work done either...
This is so addicting , not in a bad way....
I sent some pics of the centerpieces and I have this one too.
My dress is from Alfred Angelo and its a unique design...there are little rose colored flowers on teh skirt part of it so I wanted bright flowers...
My favorite is the cylinder vase and the short one with all the pink flowers...
But I haven't decided on which one as yet...I plan to put tealights around the centerpieces to give it a warm effect...
I cannot remember what the GT room looks like so I am hoping that these floral arrangements will be fine.
