Fox Hollow

Nancy, I booked Fox Hollow for my Nov. 2001 wedding and I couldn't be happier about my choice. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. Everybody I talk to raves about the place. I have gone there a few times for dinner and the service was excellent. Please let me know if you need any additional info. Good luck planning.

Fox Hollow

All the Fox Hollow brides have raved about their experience. We, however, had one experience while looking, that turned us off to having our reception there. It was a hot Saturday in May and we arrived around Noon. They proceeded to walk us up to the door of the patio, past guests, showing us how nice that looked, then walked us into the reception area. It was before the 1:00 start and the band was doing its sound check, although some guests had already come inside to escape the heat. He walked us all through there, and even to the bridal suite, opening the door without knocking. We were uncomfortable and felt that he was invading the other reception, although I suppose it technically was before the 1:00 start time. Just wanted to mention our experience so you can be aware - a Friday or Saturday evening would probably eliminate a chance of this happening and since others have raved it may have been a rare occurance, not the norm.

My reception will be there on 7/6/01(only 4 more months)! My fi and I fell in love with it right away and every other place we went to couldn't compare. The Scotto's do a great job!

I too am a Fox Hollow bride (June 2001 - 3 months away!), and we looked at a lot of places & always came back to FH. I actually had the opposite experience as Karen H. - the first time we showed up on a Saturday & they would not let us see anything but some common areas that were not being used. But my mother was thrilled because she thought it showed that they respect people`s privacy. We ended up going back on a weekday & seeing it all. So far, all has been fine, and I trust that they will do a fine job & the food I know will be plentiful! With an Italian family that was our #1 priority :) Good luck!

The first time I went by myself during my lunch hour so no one was around. When I wanted an appointment to go back with my fi, they said that it should be early so that we could see the whole place which we wouldn't be able to do if they had weddings going on. I liked that.

I had a similar experience to Karen H. When they were showing me the place they took me into the bridal suite where the bride was getting ready for her wedding. It was uncomfortable but I decided to book there anyway. It's really the only place on the Island I could find that fit what I was looking for at a reasonable price.
