just booked Fox Hollow!! the Somerley room :) Jan 18th 2014 :) and right after we booked they gave us free food in the restaurant, so yummy. so excited.

Congrats! So beautiful, we loved it there! Good thing we didn't book it because now were inviting over 300 haha oopsy! Did they have a rendering yet for the new cocktail room?

thanks! it's the one place I always loved & I saw every hall on long island. they have a space for the cocktail hour and are doing construction on it. they also showed us what materials they are using for the space and it looks good :) they say they will be done by October so Oct/Nov we're gonna go check it out lol. they are doing things outside too so there is a newer/bigger entrance back there.

I love that room! that's originally where I wanted it but with more people somerley is better for us. did you go eat in the restaurant yet? sooooooo good.

For the Somerley Room you have to guarentee 150 on a Friday night. So we hope to have around the 150 maybe 155. I thought the prices were good for what we were getting. Keeping in mind it's a summer Friday night wedding. I'm sure if it was during the winter or a Sunday or Saturday day wedding it would have been better. It's about 135 pp including taxes & the 20% administrative fee.

price was good. we threw in a few extras since it wasn't bad. we have to guarantee at least 150. they do have a smaller room there that is really nice too. that's the room I originally loved & wanted until I saw the somerley :)

We booked (or will be booking we need to go and make the deposit) the photographer and DJ just because it's a holiday and I wanted to make sure we booked who we wanted. I didn't even think about the make up yet! Who are you looking into?

Oh and we booked a photobooth because they had a really good special if we booked now and we knew we wanted one.

I started looking at photographers now and djs it's either body rock or tommys tunes. I know body rock controls all the lights and stuff so they might be a better deal because of that. makeup I am obsessed with and want to do like 20 trials lol. I need to narrow my list down but so many seem so great. pretty much every known makeup artist on the boards I want to try out.

you should try New York Nights for a DJ too. I liked them better than Body Rock and he worked with us on the prices. I felt he was more personable and he's a recommended vendor as well.
