I heard that room is very low ceiling and dark and that the main ballroom is right on top of the briar fox room and that if another party is going on the ceiling shakes......

Did you check out the website? www.scottobrothers.com You can pan throught the room with your mouse I know. Since I live 8 hrs away, I sometimes check out my room Wintergarden and I believe the Briar Fox is the restaurant?? Mishy - my best friend got married in the Briar Fox room almost 7 years ago. I remember the room being lined on all sides with mirrors - which can be problematic from a photography standpoint. You'll get the reflection of the photographer and the flash in many of your pictures. The room is made dark by the deep mahogany wood work. It is beautiful, but it depends entirely upon your style and if that appeals to you. Good luck!

My friend just got married in that room on Sunday. It was nice, but dark. The dance floor was also very small. She had about 160 people. Also, the dais (?)was on the dance floor as well.My sister had her cocktail hour there and the reception in the garden room. Also, you could see the other party dancing through the windows in that room. (their shadows)
