I'm planning on having my wedding in the Briar Fox room and I went to see a DJ last night....
I want lights, but the woman who i spoke to at the DJ recommended that i should go with special lights called mini. They go by the DJ booth and they go out and over to project the beam onto the dancefloor. She said the regular lights (the ones that are on the open grate that projects straight out) would not be good since they will blind people who are sitting.
I want to know what kind of lighting (if any) other Briar Fox brides are using. Of course the ones that the DJ wants us to use costs a good $250 more than the regular lights. I wasnt sure if the woman was trying to be helpful, or if she was just being a salesman and wanting more money.
Any lighting information would be great. Thanks :)

Get the regular lights, you'll be fine.

Definitely go with the regular lights. When I was interviewing DJs, most of them said that the regular lights are all that you need.

Re: Fox Hollow brides
Have you had any reservations about the low ceilings? I noticed that even the Larger room has low ceilings, Im so in love with the WGP (which is my cocktail room)that Im afraid it will out shine the reception. How many people are you having if you don't mind my asking?

Re: Fox Hollow brides
I am in the Briar Fox room and I got regular lights. Frank from FM did not seem to have any concerns about it and he has worked there a bunch of times. Go for the regular lights and if I have a problem with them I will post about it. Also - I am not planning on sitting any older people by the DJ primarily because if they are a problem, I do not want them to complain.
