Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

I was charged 1/2 price for kids and vendors. Kids under 3 where free. Just make sure you let them know when doing seating that you have a free kid so they still get a chair. They also do a special menu for kids. Mine had chicken fingers and french fries. One of them did not like this and they made them a pasta dish. Very easy to work with.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

The menus are nice. They say Fox Hollow at the top and then in detail you 7 dinner choices. The sample menu they gave me when I booked had our name and date on them. But the day of the wedding it did not have our date or name but it was one last thing that I had to make.

Hey Melissas28

What do the placecards and menus look like that they give you?

Do they provide directional cards? If so, how many?

Hello,
The placecards are ivory tent cards with a green boarder. I think the fox hollow logo is on top. If I remember it doesn't say Fox Hollow on the front or anything. I have some at my parent's house, I'll try to get them soon so I can tell you for sure. The lady at the front desk has them also so next time you go, you can ask to see them.

I was already planning to do votive placecards, so I didn't use their placecards.

I don't remember what the menus look like. I didn't want to spend extra time making menus, so I used whatever they put out. I will look through photos to see if anyone took a picture of them.
They do provide directional cards, and as many as you need. They do have a little thing about the inn on the other side. But I just let everyone know where I had blocked rooms instead. No one booked rooms with the inn.

I did book with Executive Inn and my friends all loved the shuttle service. And I was happy to know that they were safe.

Let me know if you have anymore questions. I will try to answer them as best as I can.

Thanks for all the info!

I guess I will ask to see a sample of the menus and placecards - I want to just use whatever is free to save a little cash!!!!!

Good to hear the executive inn worked well with the shuttles, most of my guests will be crashing there.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

Did you upgrade your cake?? If you did - how much credit did they give towards it? If not - was it a good cake? I've heard it's only okay....so i'm considering an upgrade...

I did not upgrade my cake...it just seemed like an extra cost. The cake was good. To tell you the truth most of my guests were too full by the time the cake came out....especially because there was also desert. I'm glad that i didn't spend more for cake.

The Executive Inn is the hotel with suttle service? Is that what I am gathering? Thanks!

yes, it has the shuttle service! they run a half hour before the event and half hour after.. the shuttle will go back and forth for the guests.

NICE! My FH wanted to get a shuttle. I think some family will be staying at the Fox Hollow Inn (incliding us) and that everyone else will be at the executive inn.

Now I just have to see how much a shuttle would be to take people from both hotels to downtown huntington to party after the wedding ....

I booked a block of 10 rooms at the hotel next door - they said I only need to book 5 in order to keep the group rate, and my parents are taking 2 of those nights.

You might want to book a small block to give people the option - I know it is pricey but a few of FH's family members (including grandpa who likes to drink!) want to stay there.

Just an idea - I also booked the Executive Inn for a cheaper option (that is where I would stay if I was attending for sure, haha)

They told me I have to book 70% of the rooms I blocked to keep the discounted price.

I asked for a tasting and they said they would only be able to buy us drinks and apatizers at the restaurant. The first time we went, we were charged for everything! So we went back another time and with my paretns and they took care of a round of drinks and appatizers.

Re: FOX HOLLOW BRIDES - Question & Answer Thread

This is a great thread but I just wanted to mention that I have emailed Jennifer at Fox Hollow and each time she has gotten back to me via email within a few hours. If anyone needs her email, just FM and I'll give it to you..It seems like it might be easier to get in touch with her this way instead of calling and leaving messages.
